Lin Shidong makes very difficult and unlikely shots look completely natural. He predicts well, improvises naturally when out of position, and has incredibly solid timing for the incoming ball. His understanding of the ball seems superior to everyone else. He makes a few mistakes of course. I see his worst weakness is to be conservative and defend, rather than taking a risk, so it's possible someone on a hot streak can win. But, over the long run, he seems the most talented player I've ever seen. And he's still a teenager.
Once he get used to playing Harimoto and Felix, it's over. He said he got used to Anton playing style in France. I knew exactly at that time there's no way Anton gonna win the next time. I predicted 4-0 and people were flaming me. LMAO!
Lin S. plays incrediable. When he attacks it is effective. When is opponent plays aggressivly he likes it and plays amazing stuff - forehand and backhand. Unbelieveable.
I remember when LYJ beat W.C.Q 4-2 with the first set being 11-2 for LYJ in 2023. The fact that LYJ almost never push to receive and always flicks team china’s players serves is what makes him such a troublesome opponent and what made him win back then. However seeing LSD today, he is expecting LYJ open ups, and keep the game further and further away from the table, even if initially it puts him to a disadvantage. This technique clearly worked because we can see especially in the first two sets, LYJ struggling to finish rallies even though LSD is on the back foot, almost as if LYJ is not ready or expecting this kind of game as his technique revolves around a troublesome open up and a quick finish. Just my two cents on the game
This Lin Shi Dong is insanely good with impossible shots. His opponent who defeated our Brazilian player Calderano, made a very good offensive play but LSD defends too much well
He is still playing in the national games but not regular international ones. He will play the 2024 year end wtt event as it is an important event, but he is ready to retire since he is not young anymore and finally fulfilled his target - Olympic champion.
You like to use that slang to accuse Chinese players when they win. Lin Yun-ju also hide the serve! you just watch carefully. In order to spin the ball at maximum, every player stands at right angle to the backside of the table and spin the ball out on serve. This is the best technique of serving.🤣The umpire can still see the ball the moment it touches and leaves the racket on serve. No players complain at site promptly.
@@FrederickFung-l2q yea, you're right, if there are no complains from the players and the umpire, it's fair game for everyone. But Lin Yun-ju is one of the cleanest top player at the moment in the game, this is according to many of the chinese players and fans. Lin Shidong is one of the strongest at rallying at the moment, there are not much competition. But in terms of how clean are his servings... just google " 林诗栋遮挡" and you'll find out
Did anyone see the fan voting before the game? They were so delusional to the point they voted and bet that Lin Yun-Ju was going to win knowingly that Lin Shidong never lost to Lin Yun-Ju in the last 4 meetings. Well, here's the result. An astonishing 4-0 against Lin Yun-Ju again, absolute domination from Lin Shidong
Don't know. I just don't like Lin Shin dong. He shoots well from the point. But when it comes to moving, his attacks fall apart. But he holds the close zone well. So players just have to keep that in mind and adjust accordingly.
@@somaticHuman So, why didn't they adjust accordingly? Also, when it comes to moving in this game, particularly, his attacks didn't really fall apart. This isn't Lin Yun-Ju's first game against Lin Shidong; it was his 5th straight loss against Lin Shidong. There was no way Lin Yun-Ju was even going to win a single game, let alone a whole match against Lin Shidong. Let's be realistic.
@@samehalaa1348 Who doesn't adjust accordingly? Felix Lebrun did it. Simply because he plays sharply as well but moves mach more better. Xiang Peng, WCQ I'm sure can do it too. Throughout the game he lost points if he had to receive awkwardly twice. It's hard for him to move, he's not mobile, he gives the impression of a heavy player. despite a good backhand, reaction and ball sense. That's why I don't like this player despite his achievements and that's my preference.

@ Anton had to play perfect to win a point. He isn’t as flexible. A slight weakness and Lin can rack up points in no time.

Little Lin is no match for Tiny Lin, any way you look at it.

LSD has a similar style to ZJK and FZD, but he clearly needs more power in his forehand compared to these two legends.
he is not like Zhang Jike because he cannot move like Zhang Jike. This is more of a quick flat loops like what Fan brought.
He's nowhere near ZJK in terms of footwork but his BH is the best I've ever seen.

Quite a one-sided match, but the match could've been much closer if LYJ had decided to continue to play in LSD's backhand at 15:38...
Third set was one sided for sure. But the other sets were pretty competitive I think? LYJ even had set point in the second set.
Fan of your channel btw 😀.

Gonna spoil this for everyone. Lin won😉
Guys, why is Fan Zhendong stopped?
FZD is still on vacation -- he felt tired after the Olympics.
He is tired and he is already a GrandSland master
he is shadow-banned just like ML and CM

Spoiler alert!!! Lin wins this match
Lyj doesn’t have proper forehand ? All flicks and backhand shots from the forehand, side can’t do this against the top Chinese
I agree with you, and he does not have flat hit skill… always back hand flicks and weak fore hand top spins!
