Ngl I came here looking for a solution to not having to remove that strut spring and was severely disappointed 🤣 I removed it because there was no way I was putting my control arm back on without doing so. But it was easier than expected so I’m good there. Also, it helps to go through that plastic access panel at the rear top of the hood to remove the back bolt. Just a heads up for anyone trying this later
Kept thinking it'd be funny if it was just the ebrake left on locking the caliper to the rotor and preventing it from being removed (I've done it before when doing my rear pads).
