Unfortunately the Philippines isn't doing as much as it could to attract quality expats such as Daniel and other professional people. There are other countries that have lower crime and much better climates (fewer earthquakes, volcanoes and especially no typhoons!) Philippines needs to offer expats with money many more advantages such as decent health care coverage or else it will continue losing expats to other nations.

I think those property prices are not real because the local who made the calls for you have a big cut for him. real local price would not be that much. also, the food prices seem expensive too compare to Asia.
I know that city and 280,000 USD sounds about right for the house he showed. Also, I actually thought that 10 USD for that plate was cheap, but they took him to the cheap places of the city, the nice ones will not have much on the menu on that price.
I watched a lot of your videos. You are so magnanimous to forgive your ex wife and I feel the pain that you've gone through. You meet nice beautiful girls while traveling. I am so sentimental and when I meet some one nice, its hard to say goodbye, that's the sad part of traveling. I left my heart in several places during my travel and all that remains is just memories. I hope you find the love of your life soon.
On the contrary, it is because there is no way I could forget my ex, I travel all over the world, just to keep me busy, meeting young beautiful ladies only a kind of drug to me. I feel sorry for my ex as her life is destroyed by her own mother.
It's hard to forget some one you love. You cannot bring back the past to the present . It's easier said than done but life have to move on. Keep yourself busy and enjoy what you're doing. Try to forget...only time heals the pain. Sometimes its Karma.. the law of cause and effect. Everything happens for a reason. If you plant sour mangoes, don't expect sweet mangoes to grow. Prayers and quiet contemplation helps.

Foreigners by law are not allowed to own property in the Philippines sadly, so it doesn't matter how affordable it is there.
