Honestly, I respect all voltron ships, even if I don’t ship them myself. Although I don’t personally ship Shidge, this animatic moved me. It’s very well made, and I applaud your dedication. Great job!
Yeah I totally agree. Like personally I feel that pidge and hunk had a way closer connections! They were both playful geeks who always seem to look out for each other and just hang about! Just because I think they're closer doesn't mean I cant really enjoy this animatic or other ships either. Good ships are made respectfully and everyone processes the show's relationships differently. It's nice to see them in a different light and understand how others see the world of Voltron or any show for that matter!

The difference between my mother and my father was 17 years. He was older than her. And they were the most beautiful couple imaginable. He met her when she was sixteen. Time passed, and then they fell in love. And everything was wonderful. The only bad thing about these couples is that one dies before the other. My father died last year. That was the only sadness. They were always happy. Always.
Friends of me found each other. She is I think 15 years older. We all (family and friends...) were not so supportive. After sometime no one could say that they were not happy. They married now and her first son has a child. So her husband is now grandpa with 31 and I have never ever seen a couple who was more happy and sweet with each other than they are. (I'm not native English speaker I'm sorry for every mistake)
I'm sorry but if she dated him when she was sixteen and he was more than double that, that's not good. It may have worked for her, but for most people that ends in abuse. I'm really glad they had a good story, and I'm sorry for your loss.

From how they wrote it, they seemed to have been friends first, then realized they shared the same feelings. Which means, more than likely, she was older than eighteen. Also, don't just go assuming that all relationships with a giant age gap end badly, just because that's usually the only type of coverage that is shown in media. Just as there are bad endings, there are good ones that remain untold because nothing bad brought it to someone else's attention. It's best to have an open mind instead of a closed one, don't you think? :)

There is something called grooming and you don’t have to consciously do it for it to be grooming. I’m turning 18 in a month, but I have still yet to out grow the mentality that you shouldn’t consider those who are older as having inherent authority over you. I had a crush on my teacher when I was sixteen. Do you not think it would be wrong for that teacher to try and date me when I turn 18? Are you really doing to tell me you don’t see a 17 year old girl and a guy in their 30s dating has wrong? Seventeen years aren’t even allowed to go somewhere without telling mom and dad while people in their 30s are taking care of kids.

Ever since my sister pointed out that there are many adults who are actually really short naturally, and also teenagers that look really developed and older, I can't help but ship shidge. I feel like there is a possibility that their age gap is not as wide as people think it is. I wish I was brave enough to not closet ship them 😭

I really love how the romantic things was drawn when Pidge was an Adult. Because one of the main reasons I don't ship Shidge is the age difference like at the time of the show Pidge was like 14 and Shiro was about 24 so i'm really happy about that. Unlike allurance, this ship is more than just their love for eachother. It's the support and life they built on eachother, they helped eachother become who they were today while still having so many other futures and choices, allurance is purely driven on the fact lance wants to date her. His act started to only become based on his love for allura, like in the scene where all the paladins meet their older selves, lance just gets a congrats on dating allura, whilst all the other paladins seem to find their other half of themselves. It's so dumb. Even Keith, not even getting that pep talk, still saw change in himself as a leader when he realized zarkon was changed, zarkon wasnt ever bad, he was corrupted and allura blamed the corruptions and all the things he did on himself. After this there was zero mention of it and it could have been a good focus point to bring the paladins together, and make their bond strong. Tbh pidge was the only one that got good redemption in the show.
Okay, i know this animatic has been out for a while now, but i keep seeing mentions of how this animatic displays pedophilia, but that's not at all what this is showing, at least not from what i've seen. *// warning: If you are uneasy about mentions of pedophilia and/or dont like long and wordy explinations please do not read this comment further. Through out this whole animatic Shiro doesn't show sexual interest at all (at least from what i've seen, and i've watched this several times over in depth), and only shows romantic interest AFTER Pidge turned (at the very least) twenty-two (time stamp at 3:16) shown by when Shiro gives her a birthday cupcake that has the wax number candles stabbed into the top of the cake, later being followed up with Pidge making a cake for Shiro's birthday with a joke number of 8, as Shiro had been in the clone body and was fully himself and out of Galra control for 8 years, but is still in his 20's-30's mentally, emotionally, and so on. I assume a few more years pass before the wedding scene occurs, in which both are legal adults. Pidge showed attraction when she was young, not Shiro, which can also be a slight side affect to the fact (as it's a running joke through the fandom it seems) Shiro acts like a fatherly figure for the whole team, and since Pidge's father is in Galra hands for a majority of the first 2-3 seasons she could be looking to Shiro for guidance and assistance like we see other team members do (primarily Keith, from what i've seen in the show). If this WAS pedophilia then after Pidge was legal then Shiro would've lost interest, as most Pedos do (which is why they usually have multiple victims rather than a single one). That's why they're Pedos, as they're attracted to MINORS and NOT adults. Thanks for coming to my rant/ted talk/what ever the quiznac you wanna call this. Just bugged me that people where throwing around pedophilia without seeming to understand the definition properly.

So uhh, I found this a year ago and I've watched it for 3 months almost every day. I thought everyone put a comment down about how beautiful it was and how people didn't ship them but it was still moving. (Which I agree with) I put off watching season 8 and stuck with the fandom. I just finished season 8 after my procrastination and I decide to watch this again when it popped up on my most-watched list. I cannot tell you how beautiful it was to watch it a second time even though I know it was coming. You did an absolutely lovely job. I like how your art style is not super precise or over glowed but stuck to your basic colors which worked well and didn't take away from what was actually happening, making it seem more down to earth type. Wow, this was really well made. The number of different locations, the use of perspective and backgrounds like wow! Really inspiring. I've never shipped these characters but I enjoyed looking at their relationship through your eyes. I cheered when the wedding happened! From how they wrote it, they seemed to have been friends first, then realized they shared the same feelings. Which means, more than likely, she was older than eighteen. Also, don't just go assuming that all relationships with a giant age gap end badly, just because that's usually the only type of coverage that is shown in media. Just as there are bad endings, there are good ones that remain untold because nothing bad brought it to someone else's attention. It's best to have an open mind instead of a closed one, don't you think? :)

Not really I’m going to judge someone if they start dating someone they knew has a teen even though they were double the teen’s age. There is something called grooming and you don’t have to consciously do it for it to be grooming. I’m turning 18 in a month, but I have still yet to out grow the mentality that you shouldn’t consider those who are older as having inherent authority over you.

Unlike allurance, this ship is more than just their love for eachother. It's the support and life they built on eachother, they helped eachother become who they were today while still having so many other futures and choices, allurance is purely driven on the fact lance wants to date her. His act started to only become based on his love for allura, like in the scene where all the paladins meet their older selves, lance just gets a congrats on dating allura, whilst all the other paladins seem to find their other half of themselves. It's so dumb. Even Keith, not even getting that pep talk, still saw change in himself as a leader when he realized zarkon was changed, zarkon wasnt ever bad, he was corrupted and allura blamed the corruptions and all the things he did on himself. After this there was zero mention of it and it could have been a good focus point to bring the paladins together, and make their bond strong. Tbh pidge was the only one that got good redemption in the show.

Okay, i know this animatic has been out for a while now, but i keep seeing mentions of how this animatic displays pedophilia, but that's not at all what this is showing, at least not from what i've seen.

Through out this whole animatic Shiro doesn't show sexual interest at all (at least from what i've seen, and i've watched this several times over in depth), and only shows romantic interest AFTER Pidge turned (at the very least) twenty-two (time stamp at 3:16) shown by when Shiro gives her a birthday cupcake that has the wax number candles stabbed into the top of the cake, later being followed up with Pidge making a cake for Shiro's birthday with a joke number of 8, as Shiro had been in the clone body and was fully himself and out of Galra control for 8 years, but is still in his 20's-30's mentally, emotionally, and so on. I assume a few more years pass before the wedding scene occurs, in which both are legal adults. Pidge showed attraction when she was young, not Shiro, which can also be a slight side affect to the fact (as it's a running joke through the fandom it seems) Shiro acts like a fatherly figure for the whole team, and since Pidge's father is in Galra hands for a majority of the first 2-3 seasons she could be looking to Shiro for guidance and assistance like we see other team members do (primarily Keith, from what i've seen in the show).
If this WAS pedophilia then after Pidge was legal then Shiro would've lost interest, as most Pedos do (which is why they usually have multiple victims rather than a single one). That's why they're Pedos, as they're attracted to MINORS and NOT adults.

So uhh, I found this a year ago and I've watched it for 3 months almost every day. I thought everyone put a comment down about how beautiful it was and how people didn't ship them but it was still moving. (Which I agree with) I put off watching season 8 and stuck with the fandom. I just finished season 8 after my procrastination and I decide to watch this again when it popped up on my most-watched list. I cannot tell you how beautiful it was to watch it a second time even though I know it was coming. You did an absolutely lovely job. I like how your art style is not super precise or over glowed but stuck to your basic colors which worked well and didn't take away from what was actually happening, making it seem more down to earth type. I wasn't going to say anything because everyone took the words out of my mouth. But I thought I should say even after a year I still love this.

Wow, this was really well made. The number of different locations, the use of perspective and backgrounds like wow! Really inspiring. I've never shipped these characters but I enjoyed looking at their relationship through your eyes. I cheered when the wedding happened!
