Bad prof and I/he didn’t know other students had access to old tests so grades were artificially way higher than they should be given how hard he was. Discrete math is also one of the most useful. Most of the fundamental math we use in our modeling is stuff I learned in those classes. It's not as much defenses catching up as it is the new clock rules heavily favoring defense and run game. Good luck to Tennessee trying to run 75+ plays in a game to wear out a defense. Quite simply, the hurry spread offenses will no longer work. The only question now being, how long does it take the coaches to realize this? Saban realized it instantly.

      Tennessee is one of the 5 most interesting teams in the nation for me. I underrated them in the preseason (I think). we will see) putting them at 15th and predicting a 9-3 seaaosn. @@andrewmueller9986 You're reading a little too much into this. I don't think Tennessee will be able to wear out opponents by sheer number of plays like their scheme is designed but they more than compensate for that by the current level of talent they field and in particular with Nico at the QB position. So while I don't think their scheme will work as intended from a sheer play number perspective, Nico and crew will force it to still be successful. I don’t think the onside kick in the TN game was a play call by Heupel. It looked like that spacing on the return team was seen on film and they told the kicker when he sees it to kick it into the hole. The Texas win over Michigan was more impressive than Georgia over Clemson.
    The reason is that Michigan was dead the moment that game started. Georgia was in a fist fight until the third quarter. Then once the damn broke, Clemson fell apart.
    Michigan does have an elite defense with 2-3 1st rounders. When Texas got to 31 points, they knew they just needed to run the clock and take the win. But thay beatdown was worse than the score.

    Josh Heupel wants to run his offense even if he’s way ahead and the backups are in because they get meaningful reps. Letting the backups play and the only thing that’s happening is handing the ball off, that’s pointless. Also, the onside kick was preplanned as long as Tennessee’s staff saw a certain look. They had no idea that the score would be 30-0 at that point. That’s enough justification regardless of score

      They are losing 30-0, they're a bad team. Running up the score by kicking onside kicks is just low class shit.

      @LaCrux 4 дня назад

      @@CrashB111 But it does give meaningful experience. Now we can go back and talk about what should and shouldn’t be done when it’s time to do an inside kick again. Now that we have live rep on tape instead of practicing it against our own practice squad. Tennessee or any team for that matter should do whatever can help them prepare for the future. @@Branif you did not strike a nerve. I don't get to emotionally invested in my teams anymore.
      I am just speaking facts. There were a lot of reasons why Saban retired when he did. Kirby helped him win five of those national championships and if you crunch the numbers, compared the defense is on Alabama and Georgia since Kirby left and Alabama's has steadily dropped while Georgia has obviously been one of the best in the nation.
      Will deboer copy Nick saban's success? that will be tough to do since I believe Saban was the best coach I have ever seen.
      You also forget that Kirby beat Saban in the llast national championship game that Alabama appeared in.
      If Alabama beats Georgia in a couple of weeks, I will see it as a sign that Deboer is a good coach. I think both teams will make the college football playoffs so they could play three times this year.

    I also think they should never come out with rankings until like the 4th week. Look at Notre Dame look at FSU now the rest of the year the teams who beat them when they were way up in the rankings they're going to get credit for beating a top five team when really nobody knows what the hell anybody's going to be like until about a quarter of the way in. Me as a Georgia fan I really could care less if we're running 20th all we got to do is win our division and we're in it's that simple. Really rankings hula stuff it's just something for everybody to talk about but really in the end they mean absolutely nothing until the final week.

    I'd have USC higher, they gave LSU a stomping. I don't think LSU is a really strong team; but I think having it being an away game (essentially) and against an SEC team (you have to give other conferences wins against them, if you are going to do the same for teams within the conference as well). I'm not sold on Oregon. They had a strong win against Oregon St; but Oregon State is not good. And They've struggled to move the ball in general. That offense is not as impressive as last season.

They look like they have returned to the don brown era of "i'm going to blitz you every down andtry to win one on ones." It didnt work against ohio state when they did that and it didnt work against texas. I would be very concerned about them moving forward if they dont adjust the defense.

    How can you make excuses for Georgia and Alabama's injuries and say they're elite as well as good but Penn state losing an all American in the secondary and having some guys out. Moving them around in a defense they're still learning. They're just bad or you don't know. That's what bothers me. Idc if you think PSU is elite or not show some consistency for all the teams not just the top half. Kentucky is terrible and Georgia barely escaped. PSU at least dominated WVU and They dominated BGSU in the second half. The score is misleading cause BGSU kicked a field goal. PSU had a score taken off the board. Most of the teams pretty much all are a Wait and see. Can't even make a top 10 cause it's so early but at least show fairness and consistency amongst all teams. Cause when you don't it comes off as an excuse. If you're gonna use Injuries as an excuse for bad play and close games. Use them for every team not just Bama & Georgia.

      As we said a bunch of times, it’s still half projection, and roster quality in the top 6 is higher. Beyond that, you’re asking us to rank them over USC, Miami, etc. Those teams simply have better arguments and resumes so far. It’s all relative.
