He is a legend. In his captaincy India won the very first T20 world cup and he captained a very young and new team in which most of the players were inexperienced. In 2011, we won ODI (One Day International) World Cup under his captaincy after 28 years. Saurav Ganguly (Know as Dada) and MS Dhoni, the two best captains India ever had.
cricket is harder man...and a baseball player cant transition to cricket...you can bat and keep wickets to some extent but picters cant bowl fast..in cricket you cant bend your elbow like a javelin thrower..and gentlemen that is the hardest thing to do belive me..
every game in professional level is hard. in many videos i have seen many cricketers unable to hit a ball good enough because of the very tiny sweetspot available in baseball bat..
When the bowler is bowling spin (about 60 miles) then he is close to the stumps and when the bowler is a fast bowler (90-95-100miles) the keeper is far from stumps

I apologise in advance for the long message. I’ve picked up on you mentioning the long posts, which are great hahaha, so will do my best to keep it short. There is so much to be said and taught. But, I won’t Bore you with all that though lol. ( phew, bullet dodged 😂😂)
First rule you MUST know about Cricket, is the ONLY Rule about cricket... which is... there are No Rules.
They are called Laws.
Wicket keepers are generally good at wicket keeping, from Pro down to Club ( lower leagues) cricket. Obviously not quite like the Dhoni’s of the world, but there are heaps of good wicket keepers out there who do awesome things. It’s a skill. And requires a ton of concentration. If you miss a delivery , it usually runs down to the boundary for 4, or atleast two almost three runs if it’s a slower bowler. And that’s not even the chances like catches or STUMPINGS. ( knocking the stumps when a batsman is out of his Crease, like Dhoni showcased plenty in this video). They have a lot of responsibility and are usually one of the very best fielders in the team. Even in outfield. Also, they are Tacticians as they can see the game better from their vantage point.
Wicket keepers have been known to place protection between the glove and the hand and Australian wicket Keeper, Adam Gilchrist used to wear Squash balls In the palms of his hand, under the gloves. How, beats anyone, but he had probably one of the fastest bowling attacks of all time to Keep to. Amongst, really the fastest bowler of the modern era, If not all time, Brett Lee. Shoahib Ahktar has the fastest delivery ever, but no one has hit 100 mph as often as Brett Lee. Wicket keeping can be brutal.
South African W/K, Mark Boucher, who holds the World record for most Test dismissal, lost one of his eyes , when a BAILS popped up from the stumps and hit him in the eye. It’s Serious business hahaha
Anyways, before I completely bore you too much, may I ask that you Review AB de Villiers, fastest hundred. I know you’ve done one of him, and his top 10 shots, but I HIGHLY recommend you atleast watch that. A review would be best as it was absolute destructive batting, with balls flying in all directions, with the most outrageous shots all while done with such ease and elegance. Actually, if my long post can bear one fruit, it would be this Request.

Well the records say otherwise, MS Dhoni is without a doubt the best wicket keeper batsman that India has ever produced, & maybe he's the worlds greatest finisher but when it comes to numbers & records Sangha is well ahead of MS.

Wicket keepers often wear a helmet if they’re keeping for a fast bowler.
Spin bowlers are almost half the speed of fast bowlers. Often batters will remove their helmet to face spinners.
Its actually the opposite, wicket keepers wear helmet to spinners not fast bowlers. And its exactly opposite for batsmen. The reason is spinning ball pops up very sharp and unexpectedly and getting hurt by the bails is also an issue, like Mark Boucher.

2 types of baller are there- fast baller and spinners. Try to rotate your hand without jerk throwing ball fast, you will find how hard to pitch it up on desired place, if you will be able 1- 2 years,then you will find it's a start as child do

When we say full toss, it means the ball doesn't bounce on the pitch so doesn't do much, therefore easiest to hit. In baseball, every pitch is a full toss. Ofcourse the cricket bat is wider, but in cricket each pitch is different. The pitches in india spin, the ones in australia bounce and the ones in England swing. Which is why it is so hard for teams to go to another country and win test matches. It is a true test.

Wicketkeepers don't use their eyes: the ball is moving too fast. So they use the Force. Wicketkeepers are close to the stumps when the bowler is a spinner, but way back when it's a "pace" bowler (fast, medium, etc).

Wicket keeping is not an easy job at all. Even thou they wear gloves, it impacts a lot on fingers, all wicket keeper have twisted fingers.

Much difficult to do this in wicket keeper cus the element which is missing in baseball is that ball doesn’t bounce on the wicket.. so the keeper really has to understand trajectory + bounce. Also the type of balling/ pitching is very different .. there are fast ballers and spin ballers.. u should see the difference in vids

Anyone can appreciate a good catch (especially when it's without gloves😁), no matter what sport it is. But when you watch it just remember 1 thing so you don't get confused, in Cricket you can't catch the ball and then fall/go out of bounds with the ball still in hand. If you catch the ball with even one feet out of bounds (or bounary line), then it's a counted as a SIX (HOME RUN)

5:35 In case you didn't notice, what he did there was to deflect the direction of the Ball to ensure it hit the Stumps which it did (grabbing the Ball & then hitting it on to the Stumps could've taken longer & he didn't had the time)

At 3:21 if the Batsman's foot is on the crease and if the wicket keeper knocks the bails out then the batsman is judged out. The foot needs to be inside the crease

Correction: Pitching is not quicker than baseball. Although it CAN BE sometimes. Fastest balls EVER bowled in cricket are all around the 100 -101 mph mark. But on an average, most fast bowlers bowl at around 84-85 miles/hr (crossing the 90 mph mark occasionally), while the spinners bowl at around 50 mph.
Let's not just start defying physics here. Remember it's a harder ball in Cricket AND it hits the ground first.

its keepers choice to wear a helmet or not. mostly in slow or spin bowling keepers avoid wearing helmet due to vision and the ball bounces less in spin bowling and its a long game so always wearing helmet is tough
