Exploring the shore in Pembrokeshire during a winter gale with Craig Evans

  • YOU MUST RETURN ALL ROCKS OR STONES TO THEIR ORIGINAL POSITION AFTER LIFTING . This is a short video on what we found under the rocks during a winter gale on the shore of St Brides Bay in Pembrokeshire, this area is a particular hotspot for "cushion stars".Do to the very strong winds the majority of the footage was edited out ,and I can only apologise for the sound quality. This is one of my favourite areas because not only does it have a diverse local species mix but offshore species are sometimes swept in by westerly gales.

The knowledge in your videos never fail to amaze me! Anyone can lift a rock and look at the contents underneath but the fact you do it with knowledge just makes this so intrigueing to me. Your channel is excellent and i love it when a new video is uploaded. Thanks and your videos are very much appreciated as you will know from the incredible comments 👍🏻

Craig, a few quick questions if you don’t mind. First off, I love watching your videos. Entertaining and very informative. How often do you go out foraging? Have you considered taking tourists on foraging outings? The powdered lobster shell you add...is it for flavor only or does it also thicken the broth? Thanks in advance.

Hi bswtsp21,the sound on this video has been edited to the best of the softwares' ability.Like I explained in the introduction a large quantity of footage was unusable due to the very strong winds. The choice I had was to publish this as it is ,or deny people the chance to see it.Future videos will be shot with a new Gopro 6 and sound will be better due to a wireless microphone.Regards Craig

can't verify that any better than i can the ossicle of the whale being the hardest known or claimed by folks around here ... but it's interesting. i wonder if these "facts" are scientificly verified, I doubt it. some one out there has probably done the testing though.
