Thank you so Much, I have learned a lot and I particularly like your progress reports as it gives me hope if mine look like yours and also an idea of how long it will take until they flower.
I live in Northern Calif and bought 1 plant of Euphorbia myrsinites. Before I knew it there were 1000s of babies which I pulled out every year for a decade. Finally I started cutting off the flowers soon after they bloom and now enjoy the color and shape of these plants without the hassle.
I have two potted euphorbias that have outgrown their pots. Is it possible to remove each plant, divide them into smaller plants and repot them? Each plant is about 4 feet high without the blooms.
I noticed during the propgatingof the gopher plant you keep the soil moist. If it is drought tolerant and a succulent my understanding was too keep the soil dry. Please advise.
They are under stress. It's normal for cuttings to drop leaves, it's not the best scenario but sometimes they survive even after dropping leaves. In winters they are dormant in any case so winter is not the best time to propagate
Wear gloves, long sleeves and eye protection. Dont do this without proper skin and eye protection. I have many of these and the milky sap in the stem, when cut, will irritate your skin and is toxic. DO NOT touch your face while handling cut stems. Wash all gardening tools used after cutting asap.
Thanks so much for this. I really love how you showed all the stages over a year- that's a long project! Many thanks :)
Thank you
Agreed. Great content showing the development over 1 year
@@tarawatterson4188 thank you
It’s beautiful! You have a lot of patience to care for the cuttings. Thanks for the information!

These came up all over my garden. I pulled them and put them in a large pot... crazy root system.
Haha

Yes, you can divide the roots too

When the roots are just developing, they are tiny and dry out quickly in dry soil so till the plant develops good root system, keep the soil moist
what does it mean if my cutting leaves are turning yellow

Points noted
You can plant them in one part of your garden and before you know it, it is in all parts of your garden. It's invasive and toxic.
Good to know but mine hasn't spread
But people, this stuff is POISONOUS!!!!
Good to know, don't grow it if you have little kids or pets
