    Dear Nick, I admire you for having your daughter as part of your presentation !! My Husband Dennis Turkish was a Journeyman plumber for many years and he took our daughter at the age of 4 to many of is plumbing jobs. SHE WAS ALWAYS BY HIS SIDE UNDER THE SINK OR OVER IT LOOKING ONWARD TO WHAT HE WAS ALWAYS FIXING! Dennis has been retired from the trade for the last 10 years. Although our daughter never became a plumber, her knowledge and understanding of logic and reasoning allowed her to become well versed in the elect field in becoming an integral part of the Electricians Union where she stands proud! I hope you continue to expose your daughter what you do and believe in!! Best wishes to your and your daughter and family.
    Sincerely,
    Andrea (Bell) Turkish

      SWAP THE 2 CABLE POSITIONS ON THE TRIGGER!!!

      You are correct, the saw is backwards. I also thought it odd that the front of the saw wouldn't face the decals. Pages 4,5,6 & 7 of the handbook show the saw installed the way the video shows. Once you mount the extension arms you notice they are on the wrong side of the saw. Took the 4 bolts out...again...and turned the saw around.

    • @berlinbuilds

      @@mattbrierley5363 I just built some wing extensions for it. In doing so I flipped the saw the other way around. It looks like the support arms give better support with the saw flipped opposite of what I had in the video.

    • @berlinbuilds

    My wife bought me one of these. Unfortunately the mounting brackets do not get far enough apart for the Ridgid saw that I have. I tilted it just a tad and was able to mount it with 2 screws instead of 4 placing them in the upper left and lower right corners. But you can understand my hesitancy in relying on this. I was wondering about any other options. I saw another video mention that you can actually mount the saw to a flat thick plywood, and then mount that to the stand. So I may try that unless you have another option?
    I thought about taking the table back but I wasn't sure if they'd take since it's all put together now.

    Your video is excellent and simple to follow. Thanks for your effort. I have two suggestions, only because I had to fix my first attempts.
    1. The fixed supports on the 779 should be on opposite sides of the saw. The longer edge should be facing the user. No wood will be behind the fence. 2. I have a 779 saw as well. The saw needs to be mounted on the 726 so that the extension support bars are toward the user as well. The Dewalt instructions illustration shows opposite and does not make sense. Again no wood will be behind the fence. You will see the supports work much better in this direction.

    Good video but he did two things wrong. The first was that he mounted his saw in the wrong direction. The reason being is that the holes where the extensions rods are inserted are set back (they are not centered from front to back). So, with the way he mounted the saw the t-bar that your material sits on will be too far back behind the fence. In short, if you're facing the saw as if you are operating it, the controls (the lever and handle to make it go up and down) should be on your left (the non wheel side of the stand). The other mistake he made was he installed the t-bar backwards. That little stop plate should be on the outside, not inside.

    Good video but you mounter it backwards. The instructions are wrong. When you mount it the way that the instructions say the extensions are out of position. They are offset on the on the lift body, so only a small part of the extension is exposed to the wood when mounting it their way. If you flip the saw around you get more of the extension exposed, and that will give you more stability when cutting larger pieces. Hope that helps someone. I would add pics to show you what I mean if I could figure out how to do so.

      Yes in deed! The only thing I had to change. Now the supports are perfect!

      Thank you! I did out the saw on backwards on the stand in the video, so be sure to place it how you want it!

      Oh snap. I set it up just like you did 😂. Does it really make a difference?

    • @berlinbuilds
      @berlinbuilds  11 месяцев назад

      Not too big of a difference! You just get a little more support from the support arms the other way.

    Saws bolted on backwards. The dewalt sign on the front is where your saw front should be

    • @berlinbuilds
      @berlinbuilds  11 месяцев назад

      Yep! I’ve swapped it since. Not a good way go edit the video though.

    Great Video....but your saw needs to be turned around to line up with lumber support arms

    • @travisjanik11
      @travisjanik11 Год назад

      I was wondering about this too because I just assembled mine tonight. The way he has it is the way the instructions show but you’re right, it doesn’t line up correctly with the support arms.

    • @berlinbuilds
      @berlinbuilds  Год назад

      Yes I ended up switching mine around eventually when I built miter wings for the saw.

    Hey I bought this and now Milwaukee miter saw wouldn't turn on. I think he's mad at me and wants me to take him off of this thing.

    When lowering from the top position pull up and squeeze the latch and it should drop to the next level. Then squeeze the trigger and push down to collapse the gas strutt. Should go down no problem.
    I also found the instructions have the saw backwards so the material rests are not usefull.
    I really question why not use the aluminum beam and clamps from the other stand so tools can be switched easily and material stops ad rollers used instead of two pieces of pipe.
    The adjustable stop is so flimsy it is no use. Needs to be thicker material and one each end. Knobs are poor quality and had to turn because the threads are bad.
    Overall all a good sturdy stand but the Chinese factory needs better qualty control. Perhaps it would be better built somewhere else.
    Instructions are poor so much so this video is required for most people.
    Thanks for doing a great job.
