Your glass may have the same thickness, but car windows are made from tempered glass, which are a lot harder and shatter into small nasty cubes (typically 4x4x4mm), each with 12 sharp sides and 8 corners. They are not able to cut down to your blood vessels, but will leave your hands with dozens of (minor) cuts, bleeding like a pig ! Being glass, the particals are also hard to find inside a wound for removal. Testing the glass breaker on regular glass is pretty much useless. As far as I know the keyring holder is hardened too and can be used as a glass breaker without any mods or extra parts - just protect your hand and wrist, either with gloves or by other means like pulling down the sleeve of your jacket or with a towel. Merry Christmas, Nik, and a healthy New Year !
Is it even possible to punch through a modern, large and hardened car window with this? It's not easy to punch through using breakers included in MicroTech knives, and this is just a pretty wide chunk of metal. Piece of glass you've used is small and not covered in whatever makes the car window to retain their shape after cracking, making it easy to break, as larger sheats of glass handle bends better and have more area for energy to disperse. You'd be able to crack it with a screwdriver. The fact that the breaker falls off is a dealbreaker, as you'd certainly need multiple strikes against a proper car window.
Hi Nikos, thanks for your interesting videos. As an emergency glass breaker, why not simply use the keyring holder? (no need to remove the keyring) It’s part of the SAK chassis, so it’s very stable. Alternatively, couldn’t we use the phillips screwdriver head in SAK models in which it’s at the top (rather than on the side)? Such models are: Swiss Champ, Explorer, Outrider, Work Champ, Skipper. (Perhaps also the mini SAKs with philips: Mini Champ, Rambler, Manager, Jetsetter)
Saluti.

Have you noticed that in Germany it is now forbidden to carry a knife with a blade length of more than 7cm? You are not even allowed to carry the 91mm Victorinox knives with you anymore. They call it freedom.
False! The Weapons Act 42a hasn't changed. It is legal to carry fixed knives with blades up to 12 cm and folding knives with no limit in blade length that are either one-hand opening or lockable but not both.
Thank you for the relaxation Nikos, Marry Chrismas and a Happy New Year ☺️☺️👍👍

Nice idea and well done. It would be better to test on toughened glass that its designed for.
Great video. Thanks.
Hey Nikos schön dich wieder zu sehen hab dich vermisst Klasse Video 👍👍👍👍
Thank you,I will try to upload videos more often.
Excellent travail ! :)

I saw another guy try that on youtube and it did not work
Хорошее видео. Люблю ножи викторинокс и лазерманн. Like🎉

The blade length on a 91mm victorinox is approx 60mm
@@MartArmstrong You see that wrong. They measure the entire length to the handle.

Imagine thinking this is even remotely relevant to the topic of the video (or even true).
Amazing!
