But first look up the word Amhara in google and its meaning is one who/which is good looking, gracious etc. America is possibly evolved from the word Amharic with an a at the end (Amharica). Look, I have a theory (without proof). But first look up the word Amhara in google and its meaning is one who/which is good looking, gracious etc. America is possibly evolved from the word Amharic with an a at the end (Amharica). Thus America adopted a name that essentially captures the true meaning of Amhara which in Amharic also means exactly same as in google.
It is quite interesting, though it is a bit speculative

Amharic is a direct descendent of geez. It's only evolved like any other language Can you understand the old English text?. It's completely different from the recent English. You wouldn't even believe that it was English.
It is derived from Geez, the origin is ancient but modern.
