The Colorado Trail, part 12, (Segment 1 Finale)

Mountain bike packing the Colorado Trail. Day 1, Sunday, June 23, 2024, Littleton, Denver, Colorado. The high temperature of the day was 96 degrees Fahrenheit.
Segment 1 - Waterton Canyon Trailhead to South Platte River Trailhead. Starting altitude of 5,522 feet. Distance of 16.8 miles, with 2,830 feet of elevation climbing. Drinking water is found (1) at a drinking fountain at the beginning of the trailhead, (2) from the South Platte River along the first 6.2 miles of Segment 1, (3) Bear Creek at mile 8.7, and (4) the South Platte River at the end of Segment 1.
