Thank you for your question, and for watching my videos..... This video begins on the Jones Whites Creek Loop Trail (J.W.C.L.T). At 4 minutes 25 seconds, I made a right hand turn onto the Bitterbrush Trail (B.T.) where I start seeing hikers. Once I reach the Galena Creek Regional Park Trailhead at 9 minutes 45 seconds, and pass through the pavement parking area where the Ranger Station and restrooms are, I began the Old Mount Rose Highway (O.M.R.H.) dirt gravel trail.

You are welcome. The bike I am riding is the Ryan Van Duzer designed Priority Bicycles 600X Adventure Mountain Bike with the Pinion 12-speed gear box and Gates Carbon fiber belt drive. It has a 600% gear range, and the gears are non-overlapping and sequential, so there is no wasted gearing like you would experience on a traditional derailleur-chain setup, such as a 2x10. The first gear, "Granny Gear", is pretty "Granny". It is comparable to my other bike's 2x10 traditional chain-derailleur setup with the "Granny Gear" being a 24T front and 38T rear. (Both bikes are 29ers.) I think the lowest gear I used climbing out of Avalon was third gear. It is 2.5 miles, with 1,400 feet of climbing, mostly 12 percent incline grade on pavement. I don't think I ever dropped below third gear for the entire adventure. I will let you know for sure later, as I am bike packing the island again at the end of May. (FYI...The steepest hill I have climbed with the 600X is 27 percent incline grade and I could still go a bit steeper if needs be.) Thank you for watching! "May the Force be with you"

No I don't, but I will look into it. I have a Wahoo Elemnt Roam bike computer that I download maps onto via bikepacking.com. I also use OnX Offroad and RideWithGPS. Thanks for the recommendation! "May the Force be with you".
