Spider plants, also known as Chlorophytum comosum, are easy to grow indoors and can tolerate a range of conditions:
    Light
Spider plants prefer bright, indirect light, but can also tolerate medium to bright light throughout the year. Direct sunlight can burn the tips of the leaves.
    Temperature
Spider plants do best in cool to average temperatures, between 65-75°F during the day and 50-55°F at night, but can also tolerate warmer conditions.
    Humidity
Spider plants don't usually need high humidity, but dry air can cause brown leaf tips.
    Watering
Water regularly to keep the soil lightly moist, but allow it to dry out a bit between waterings. In spring and summer, you might only need to water once a week, but in winter you can let the soil dry out more. Overwatering can cause yellow leaves.
    Soil
Spider plants can grow in general-purpose potting soil or a soilless medium, but a professional potting mix with sphagnum peat moss and little perlite is best. The soil should also drain well.
    Fertilizer
You can fertilize spider plants every two to three weeks with a balanced houseplant fertilizer, following the product directions. You can also apply fertilizer monthly from March through September.
    Propagation
Spider plants are easy to propagate by removing an offshoot and planting it directly in soil, or by placing it in water for a couple of weeks to encourage more root growth before planting.
Spider plants can grow to be 8-24 inches tall and up to 36 inches wide, and they can reach their full size in a few years. Their leaves can be solid green or variegated in green and white or green and yellow, depending on the cultivar, and they can produce white or yellow flowers.
Spider plant is very easy to grow indoors in medium to bright light throughout the year. It does well with average humidity and cool to average temperature, although it can tolerate warmer conditions. Use a general-purpose potting soil or soilless medium. Plants grow and produce plantlets best when slightly pot-bound.
