Make working key go to expert mode. Choose year and model. Go to add key. It will ask if you want to use emulator key. Choose yes. It will ask if you want to read eeprom memory via obd or other choose obd. Wait for the down load and save. Plug in emulator key and make it using the memory dump.
Follow add key instructions to add key. Program remote separately. Takes about 15 min with the right chip. This was a Subaru H chip.
Reference materials all said it was a G chip. The G chip programming kept getting key and immobilizer fail. So I tried the H chip programming and got it done that way. Rounding up the right key and programming took most of the day. Our local dealer and the next closest did not stock this key. They did not stock a non remote key either. We now stock them. So if in Redding Ca and need a Subaru key see us.
