Just an advice when travelling here in the Philippines. Please be flexible in your itinerary because it's inevitable that there are things will not go as you planned and you will be disappointed. As a first time to visit Philippines maybe watch some travel vlogs it would be a big help for you.
Hope this pandemic will be over soon, so you will experience how beautiful Philippines is.

Dressing up in the traditional dresses and suits are appreciated whenever you are tourists in those specific indigenous sites, because thats the most authentic its gonna get and you'll be helping the local indigenous market too. We dont see it as a caricature locally as long as its authentic and helps the local market.
You wouldnt have to wear it everyday while youre here tho as its not usually the most comfortable, but its always a commemoration for the locals when they earn from their textiles as their sales and rent fees - despite being a primary point of tourism videos like this - likely doesnt earm them a ton of money either - despite being considerably pricey for locals.
Its always best to take photos and learn alot of the indigenous people too while doing so tho, theres a lot of history to learn from them.

Sand Dunes - Located in Ilocos Norte Province (Northern Philippines about 7-10hrs drive away from Manila via Public Buses)
Heritage City of Vigan - Located in Ilocos Sur. The old city with Spanish vibes. It is the province next to Ilocos Norte for you Sand Dunes adventure.
Mt. Pinatubo Trails - Located in Central Luzon. The town of Capas in Tarlac will be your entry/base point going to Mt. Pinatubo Lake (the crater of the Active Volcano) which is geographically located in the Province of Zambales.
Ideal itinerary will be:
1. Manila to Capas, Tarlac via public buses going to the North. Stay there for 1-2days for Mt. Pinatubo Adventure.
2. From Capas, Tarlac, ride a bus going to Ilocos Region. Stop in Vigan City for a 1-2days for experience Spanish Vibes around the old city.
3. Continue your roadtrip up north via public buses going to Laoag City, your entry/base point for your Sand Dunes Adventure in the town of Paoay.
Three provinces that are located in northern part of Manila.

I'm a filipino nearing a senior citizen age and I make it a point to spend every summer in a unique destination in the Philippines with my family and friends. I have been to a lot of these places you see in this video but I have not even scratched the surface of what to see and explore in my country. Its a never ending experience to wake up in the Philippines and undoubtedly you'll have the time of your life if visit us here. Mabuhay!

Yes but they are Austronesians. African americans like to come to Pilipinas and claim the Aetas are african and since they are black... The american blacks like to claim they the same race as them and black americans believe the are entitled to Pilipinas. It's as if Japanese believe koreans are Japanese because koreans are light skin and have oriental eyes and the japanese like to claim Korea belongs to them for example. There are different races of Orientals and different races of Blacks but some people like to steal entitlement to themselves.

They came from the ABORIGINALS of New Guinea/Australia, a whole other race that is black but NOT African Black. Totally different genome. Check out the video "Africans in Philippines" it's a African American who went to Pilipinas and like to CONDITION Aetas that they are African... When they are NOT and the Aetas are totally BUYING it, it's so disrespectful. The African American guy doesn't want to do a DNA test to figure out his genes to see what AFRICAN tribe he comes from IN AFRICA but instead he want to claim Pilipinas belongs to Africans.

Hey, wearing traditional costumes of the Philippines is just fine BUT wearing costumes that uses the Philippine flag is kinda not allowed [having the flag colors is fine but the clothing resembles the flag/really looks like the flag, it is not allowed (though some filipinos don't realize that) ... I hope you get what I mean by that...] Despite of all of that, it would be cool to see you wear traditional costumes like baro't saya! 💙💙💙

Tip: Eat everything you can order here in the Philippines because one of the best things here is the food. Btw each regions has their own trademarks when it comes to food. For example in Bicol region, they are known for their food to be spicy. So you got to try everything for best experience😁
