    Thx for your review. Im in the market for a 2008 - 2010 Cayenne GTS. I was looking at guys that made videos about the car to convince me to get it. Your maintenance outlook really helped. Thx 🤞😎

      We have owned our ‘08 GTS for 3 1/2 years and have not had anything occur that would stand out as a maintenance nightmare...the one benefit of having an ‘08 GTS is that it is the first year that Porsche used the GTS name since the ‘95 928 GTS (turn 5ive facts, so we could be a little off). Not that it will be a collector soon, but it has a chance to raise in price long term...especially if you get the manual!! I just did the front brakes which cost around $800 (we did a video on it), I needed an oil pressure solenoid (another video), and I currently have a thermostat issue that my mechanic said that it is not a huge deal right now since the temp is staying where it should...I will get it fixed, and it will be about 500-1000 because of where it is located. With the things that have gone wrong, I would recommend a Cayenne over any other SUV!!! Thanks for your support, and keep us posted on what you decide to do!

      Turn 5ive I’m super excited. Only thing I may want to do after a while, is to upgrade the mufflers to get a bit more crackle and pop. :) otherwise, the entire car is perfect.

    Nice review, what is the mileage on your GTS? Do you feel comfortable with high mileage one, say, 130K+? Thanks.

    • @Turn5ive
      @Turn5ive  4 года назад +4

      I just passed 117K. I would definitely recommend grabbing a GTS especially because they depreciate so quickly and are quite affordable. The depreciation isn’t because they are maintenance nightmares, they depreciate because Porsche sells so many of them (over 50K a year). Cayennes are funny when they come to depreciation because even GTSs and turbos are lumped into base model pricing on the used market.
      I have owned my GTS for over 3 years, and have spent very little on maintenance over the years. Besides an oil solenoid (1K) and a air suspension valve (500), the car has been bulletproof. I intend to keep my GTS forever both because I love it, and because at some point even a high mileage GTS is going to go up in value (10-20 years).
      Our recommendation is to buy one with a service history, and get a PPI prior to taking delivery. The last thing that you should ensure is that you have a reputable mechanic, because as much as I like Porsche dealers, their shops charge Porsche prices.
      Remember that we a biased towards Porsches which will always sway our opinions towards them, but for the luxury market, there is nothing better value for money than a GTS.
      Let us know what you decide!

    I think the Lexus rx is more reliable and the parts aren't that expensive either plus you don't need a specialist to work on it ....all these things add up to be satisfied

      Those are great reasons that a Lexus RX is a good SUV but the biggest downside is that it doesn’t have the Porsche badge! Thank you for your support!

      Yes, Lexus original from Toyota, Japan. For me, if compare to Porsche Cayenne is far far far away better in terms of handling, feel more solid, agile and more soundproof.
