Many have asked me to post a new "What I See" Video.
So here it is. Start to finish at the Daytona Wings and Waves Airshow 2010. All I edited out for time sake is the middle where I take a break and talk to the crowd. Special thanks to Steven Serdikoff for helping to arrange my airshow music which is what I put the video to.
Blue Skies,
Rob
Loudenslager, Wagstaff, and now Rob Holland. I am lucky I have lived so long to have been lucky enough to see all three. Each setting the bar higher and higher with class, grace and humility. What a lovely sport.
Love watching this guy fly, AMAZING SHOW. See ya in a few months!!
That is why Rob Holland has the SICKEST airshow of every performer I have seen. Truly spectacular!
by far the best aerobatic pilot EVER!!!
Saw Rob Holland yesterday at the Geneseo Air Show. Awesome flying maneuvers! A friend next to me kept looking away at the "wrong moments" and missed some great maneuvers. Great aerobatics! Great mastering of the aircraft. "Thanks, Rob."
Gods.. Your angles are perfect!
This is the video, what i see twice a day....every day.Fantastic plane & pilot.
Incredible! This gets my vote as the best flying video on RUclips.
Brilliant mate!! Definately gonna watch that again, but on my desktop with wide monitor and surround speakers at full chat. But not tonight as my sleeping missus will kill me. Will look to see what else you've uploaded. Brilliant.
cant help but to move my head with the turns while watching.
This is absolutely the best aerobatics video I have ever seen. Hands down.
This video reminds me of the song (every which way but loose.) Great video
"fly like you stole it" probably the best quote ever.
All stunt pilots should be required to shoot this great video from the cockpit!! this is awesome!!!
Thank you for posting this.
10 min of magic :-))))
And the music goes perfect on...
More, more, more :-)))
Man you are one with that plane! amazing stuff
Nice remix of alot of Songs :D And AWESOME piloting skills.
That. Was. Awesome...
I'm surprised RUclips allowed this much epic in one video.
(For those wondering, there are music pieces from Pirates of the Caribbean, Elder Scrolls (Skyrim, etc.) and Requiem for a Dream. Don't know who's performing. Trans-Siberian Orchestra, possibly?)
The most awesome video I have ever seen! I watch it everyday as it gets me into a perfect mood for the remainder of the day :-)
excelente!!!! este video lo vivi como sentado en la butaca del avion!!!
Nice one rob big fan you also used to fly with my father your one of the main reasons I'm gonna start flying aerobatics
AWESOME! I'm torn between following your eyes or watching your hands. Gonna have to watch this a few times. Thanks!
~LuvFlying
@lelekoJumboJet, the music in the video is from the movie soundtracks of Pirates of the Caribbean, while Hans Zimmer's Requiem For A Dream plays when he begins part two of the demo
Perfect video!!!
Awesome video Rob, you're a legend!!
just sick skills... over glassy sea
Mounting a few GoPro cameras for a few different angles would be so sick!! Great Video!!!!!!
It's probably just because we're looking through a lense... and a fish eye, too. And regardless of if you can tell exactly how high you are from looking out the canopy, you still have the altimeter, which in this video, was spinning like crazy at times!
very nice flying and a good video footage... very steady and pilot's perspective I can appreciate. My Skybolt gets me about 1/3 of the way to where you can get, but open cockpit is a different kind of fun sometimes... one day hope to work out some original music for an aerial ballet work to be shot in Florida... I did one years ago about cruise sailing, but my aerobatic/low and slow music/film is still a ways away... hope to meet you sometime to perhaps collaborate. Best, Ed
that was awesome!
So.... last night i watched this while being drunk, and I woke up this morning covered in puke and this video on repeat... now i need a new keyboard :( that's just how fucken awesome this video is..
pretty amazing what he can accomplish aerobatically in a meer 10 min. would love a few lessons from him. Awesome. I'm looking forward to advancing on to intermeiate this year in my new laser 230. got the coolest plane around my parts anyways. only had it up 2 X =- as there is no heat so I'm looking forward to an early spring and warm temps - at least above frezzing. haha. keep up the amazing flying rob.
rob holland for president!!!
Red line? What red line? :)
Great vid, nice to see you practicing at UKF a few weeks ago too, Rob. Your precision and showmanship is other-wordly...
may i just say that i fucking LOVED THIS VIDEO!!!!
Fabulous.
wow, man it is very very very cool!
@joelgarabedian no kidding. i hope he continues to post these. especially when he's over water!!!
I love how he does all of this....in shorts :D lolol
Great stuff!
its very amazing
OMFG! I need to create multiple youtube profiles just so I can give you more thumbs up!!!!
I was there, by the way. I'm the little black dot on the sidewalk next to the pier!
Thank you for posting!!!
Only one request, maybe just a little tiny bit of ambient engine/cockpit noise in the background? EXCELLENT music choice, but I'd love to hear that engine scream.
So close to the water at the beginning
I really need one of those fly it like you stole it stickers! also rob, im pretty sure i saw you practicing today over nashua while i was on my way to a flight lesson!
Pretty Friggin Awesome
Rob your pretty damn epic nice video
So fucking awesome!
Gotta love the Pirates theme here over water. Great choice.
Anyway at 18 when I was getting my private ticket, banking to 60 degrees bothered me early on, but I got used to it and started liking pushing the envelope. Then spin training sold me during the commercial ticket. What fun! Not that I'd want to get into pro aerobatics as a career, but how in the world do you get to this level?
@galonzo67 it s from the soundtrack of the movie Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa
Rob, as a fellow pilot, that is absolutely inspiring. Some questions:
1) what parts of that do YOU consider to be difficult?
2) is it much work to roll out dead level after aileron deflection near Vne?
3) does it take a lot of physical effort to work the controls at high speed like that? (my Lancair gets super stiff at high speed)
4) are you exhausted after the flight?
5) what are your favorite and least favorite parts of flying that display?
Again, blown away. Thank you for sharing.
One of a kind MXS-RH with a Lycoming Aerobatic Engine.
SICK!!!!!!
Very nice!
What's the name of the music from "Pirates of carrabean" ..? I've never heart this king, it's just perfect!
Hahaha doing some intense aeros in your shorts............nice hahahaha
Ja asisti este video umas 100 vezes, nao me canço
awesome flying dude
Like a boss!
very very cool
Fly it like you stole it!!! YEEES!
I laughed a lot harder than I should have.
Amazing Flying!!!!

@1SFODdelta yes of course
Great video! What recording device did you use?
awesome. (lucky S.O.B.)
SO SO Violent..... Where is the line to get on that ride please?
Excelente! 💪💪💪👏👏👏
fly it like you stole it... XD
This makes me want to swordfight pirates with transformers dressed as batman.
mira bart
ese es un loquillo
absolutely great vid, but what are the max G's you have to take doing these moves?
@Faucon551237
Well if you think otherwise then more power to you.
One hundred feet off the deck. I just know where I would end up on an inverted pull up
Crazy
Awsome experiance
That must be one tough aircraft :-)
Still within the yellow arc therefor not exceeding VNE. What you think is the end of the yellow arc is just a shadow.
I believe he used a NFlight Cam by Contour, as he is sponsored by them
@wwesleyblade Knowing Rob personally, I can tell you, it isn't fake. ;)
is it legal to fly like that? close to ground and maneuvering like crazy ?
@Faucon551237
Sure. Whatever you say. I don't suppose you have anything else you think I should know about?
Cool if you want to dream
I've only seen someone flip through the air like that after getting hit by a truck... that's not a plane, that's a winged bottle-rocket.
so fucking sick
waaaahhhhhhh
Fly it like you stole it :)
WHAT I PUKED
I wonder if the water screws with your depth perception...
skyrim music starts at 2:38
No it´s not! It´s his own MX2 ;D
como se llama la cancion es genial
Dear Rob, what camera do you use? probably the go pro, and what item to mount it?
АААА - біла заздрість ))
actually he them removed and put in a jar in his trophy cabinet, keeping them just added excess weight and kept throwing off the CG
pirates of the caribbean music!
Yeaaa
I'm wondering what is moving the camera back and forth?
