I've been using a lot magnetic filters already...but the MagLock feature on these are just a game changer. Had my filters fall off twice already because of slight nudges.

How does it compare ( including with wider angles lenses and photography) to the new Freewel k2 vnd, the Nisi vnd true colors and the kase Wolverine revolution vnd ? ( those seem to be the very top vnd, mostly magnetic filter, except the nisis) in terms of optical quality, colorimetry etc

I have a silent hatred of threaded filters, so this is really exciting. Always wanted to pick up some Kase filters, but these are definitely an improvement from those.

to be honest, I love the lock/unlock system, this is something that was absolutely needed, but do not believe in any kind of superiority of glassware because it's McKinnon. I would rather guess it's the same glass coming off the same line that K&F is but if anyone could correct and confirm, that would be very interesting info

Can I use this on a Sony 15mm that has a 55 ring? I assume I could use a step up with this step up for my fx30?

Their current smallest base plate is 67mm so you’d just have to get a 55-67 setup and you’ll be golden! I imagine they’d add more options down the line 🫡

I use a 55-67 setup ring on one of my crop sensor lenses and it works great
