This action started between HOWRAH GWALIOR CHAMBAL EXPRESS & HOWRAH DELHI KALKA MAIL AS SOON AS THE KALKA MAIL WAS PASSING BY KAMARKUNDU STATION. AFTER QUITE OF OVERAKES, WAP4 OF CHAMBAL EXPRESS KICKED OFF THE WAP7 OF KALKA MAIL. So as a INDIAN Railway fan i started to record this action.

The oldest running train in Indian railways history 150+ years.
It was good parallel race, intailly P 7 beat P 4, but last P7 train slowed so only P4 train zoomed past P 7. P4 can never beat P 7 because P4 is 5350 hp engine and P 7 are 6350 hp engine. So P7 has better acceleration than P4 at all time. But I have observed P 4 can also easily 24 coach train upto 110 kph. P7 is the king at all time. After P7, P 4 is best passenger loco

Is your description right? These two UP trains have vastly separated departure timings from HWH. Moreover UP Kalka departs at late evening. These are probably the DOWN trains. In that case it would be KALKA HWH MAIL (not HWH KALKA) and GWALIOR HWH CHAMBAL.

what!!! I can't take this. i think, chambal was far late than 12312 DN. but ER preferred chambal over Kalka.
atheistbanerjee008 for 2 yrs it was a common sight. The 12312 was given least priority on ncr and many times on e.r.
