We already had an independent camera system for that...watches Spyders, hitch and Zippy. So we only got the side markers with a rear view camera from these guys.
Haloview sure recruited the right team to try this out! Dave, your patience was inspiring and Karen, your adds and clarifications were terrific. I'll "repeat" the comment about the repeater needing a full-on cable run on the roof, but when you consider the distance from the camera, it's understandable. Finally, the display should be a touch-screen, IMO, as the button controls are at least a generation behind in video monitors. But, video looks good, and the price was right. :-) Nice job!
We decided to run the cable to the front just because we could and wanted to make sure the cab and the bikes weren't going to be an issue with the signal. If it were a touch screen, it would be a 10. That would be great. I'm sure they are out there somewhere, but I'm with you, probably much more expensive. Thanks for watching and your comments.
Thanks for the video Dave. One question, this unit is wireless. Does this mean you have to have WFI in your RV? Can you use hot spot from your phone. I guess I had two questions. Sorry.
I'll be traveling alone. That's yet another reason I miss my little woman:-( Your wife is really great as the side kick... Or are you the side kick. lol Before you do any more wiring, look up Wago clips, you'll never use another wire nut. Thanx for your review, -keith.
With our DRV We got the cameras only without the extra markers and wired them to our Battleborn Batteries so they are always on then we can also use the monitor in the coach when we are parked as a security camera system. Works great so far
A lot of stuff with instructions seem to need extra work or at least it seems to for me. I would have them all recording. Do you have a dash cam too? Great video. In the future. Screws. A little glass container seems to work for me.
Did the camera get switched looks like you are driving on the wrong side of the road and the car is facing a deferent direction from normal. Thanks Wayne
So since you are tapping into your marker light circuits, I am guessing you just run down the road during daytime with the marker lights on the truck and trailer turned on? This way you have power for the cameras and the signal extender? I don't see it as a negative. Your perhaps more safe since the marker lights on your trailer and truck are on all the time? Thoughts?
Good review and funny editing.... My buddy did a review on this system and the only thing I don't like is the rear view makes you look like your traveling down the wrong side of the road.. Almost like your driving in Europe.. And the editing was funny because Dave can count and not move his mouth... 😆 😆 😆 Number 1..
Nice video Dave!. If the wifi cameras have an 80' range, why did you have to run that cable the length of the 5th wheel ? The rear of the 5th wheel would have been easily within 80' of the truck cab(on a 40' 5th wheel only about 50-55'). After running that cable all the way to the front, its only transmitting maybe 10-12 feet. I want to get two side view cameras and nice monitor to add to our existing backup/rear view camera on our 39' Class A. I love the way you can look at one spot and see both sides of the coach at the same time without turning your head back and forth. Thanks for posting. ( P.S. Unless the screws are stainless steel, the solution for not dropping the little screws is a magnetic bit for the screw driver. Really helps when reinstalling.)
I wanted to make sure there would be no interruption with the cab, motorcycles, etc. so ran it up front. You probably could hook it up next the camera. I need magnets on the screws, never even got it to the screw driver. :)
Yes, we got it free for us to make a video. We stated that in the very beginning. Some companies will pay you or give you commission on sales...not this one. Thanks for watching.
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO. IT WOULD BE NICE IF THE COMPANY MADE IT SO THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO RUN THAT CABLE THE ENTIRE LENGHT OF THE COACH. THAT IS USING THE BOOSTER AT THE FRONT AND THE CAMERA AT THE REAR.
@@WattsOnWheels I have an older (2 years old) Haloview system very similar to this one 3 cameras etc . that does NOT have the repeater My rig is a lb cc drw 3500 ram and a 40 ft 5th wheel ,It is usually very good but the rear camera does occasionally freeze ..Id be happy to have had the repeater even if it meant running a wire along the roof
Dave, I have a question for you regarding the side mounted cameras. We have a 5er as well and have two sets of orange marker lights on each side of it. Did you like the higher closer to the front mounting or if you have marker lights further back, say closer to you entry door would you prefer mounting them there?
We had the same choices and we actually put it out on Facebook to see where people prefer it the most and the majority response was in the front so that is where we put ours and we are happy with that.
Ya know your a guy figure out the small stuff. It looked easy and seem to work well and if you can’t handle small things like screws , well what can I say...
I would be nice to get the 4th camera to watch the hitch and use it for hitching up.

Good honest review Dave, worth at least a 12 pack, and Karen deserves 3-4 cocktails for her filming, narrating, and technical support 👍🏼 🍻 🍹🍹
Love you man!
@@WattsOnWheels Cheers! Love watching you guys!!

Thanks for watching Ariel
Good job y’all
Thanks for watching Texan1845
Nice review. I definitely need one of these!
Always wanted the side markers. Really like them.
Thats nice, I like how you can see all 3 at the same time.
We agree. It's nice to see multiple camera views on one screen.
@@WattsOnWheels I cannot get ours to split screen! Uggg!
Looks like a nice setup on the camera good job on the install Dave.
Thanks. Was pretty easy.
Great review! looks like a great product, we'll have to add it on to the wish list.
We are really liking it so far.
Thanks for the video Dave. One question, this unit is wireless. Does this mean you have to have WFI in your RV? Can you use hot spot from your phone. I guess I had two questions. Sorry.
Hi Javier. No the system has everything built in to it. No need to have to use your hot spot.
Nice but they should offer it with solar power it is ridiculous having to run all that cable
That would be cool.
Thank you for all the great information. Keep it for up. Love all the videos you put out there for everyone.
Thanks so much Freerider. We really appreciate that.

Dropped it putting it back in. No idea where it fell to. :) Yes, we have a new dash cam that we are going to try out. Our old one died.
A note, Dave, use 3M 4200 to seal screws/grommets. Lasts much longer than silicone calk, with no residue to foul painting, if required.
Best wishes
Great tip. Thanks Carl.
Great review, Haloview did good by getting you two - to do a review. Thank you.
Please bring back the beer rating tho.
Thanks for watching Jeff. Appreciate it.
Did the camera get switched looks like you are driving on the wrong side of the road and the car is facing a deferent direction from normal. Thanks Wayne
there is a function to mirror image the view ...you can also turn the view upside down
It was initially, but then we had to switch it around. Real easy to switch each screen.
looking good 6 pack be safe have fun running light turns them on
That's right. 6 pack plus 2.

You are correct. Truck and trailer lights are on for safety. Camera won't work with out them by design.

Good catch "number 1". We had to flip the pick so we didn't feel like we were in England.
