Except for not labelling the ports.
I wired my entire 7 bedroom house this included the second floor (my 3100 sqft home was built from the ground up) against "KB Home" wishes.
KB Homes does not allow you to alter your home from the Model Home Designs and or Options they have even if you'll pay for it! So naturally, I was pissed off about this.
I'm even Certified for installing Fiber Optic and CAT 5/6 but that did not sway their decision.
I ran and Bought everything at Home Depot the second my home agent told me if can I go in tonight and set it up(the cablings) before they start putting up the walls the next day that I should be OK.
I came in in the evening and worked for about 12+ hours straight (up stair office, up stair game room(I have 3 daughters), all the bedrooms, Dining room, living room, kitchen, all the closets(server go in there), three-car garage, etc..) and just finish marking up the last CAT wires when all the walls started going up.

@@furkanunal977 from what i was told (by a Jaycar Employee), Cat6 is faster than Cat5. Again, I heard it from a Jaycar employee, so i just went with their answer, tbh!

I think this is a great video, showing the story of getting something IT setup in someone else's home, trying to find the patch panel, working out what switch to buy, all those little things that need to be sorted to make the big change. It's really nice to see this stuff shown, it's often edited out.

Actually He's quite wealthy himself. Except he pours a lot of his money back into his business and has quite a few employees to pay. I think the face is more like "Why you spend so much money" lol.
Indeed. Linus makes a lot of money but also spends a lot of money on his business and employees. Meanwhile Justine just makes more money than she knows to do with.
If I remember correctly, he barely gets more money than his employees, but I guess he has a better chance to take cool tech home for his personal use.

@@29subhra Unfortunately I am a Creator, CAD programmer, Artist (use to work for Disney creating 3D artwork), Inventor, And I save my DVD movies to my Laptop.
I'm already removing the 2TB HD and replacing it with SAMSUNG 4TB V-NAND SSD 860 EVO. And added another 1 TB SSD 3.1 USB. So once I put that 4TB in I'll have 7TB of fast SSD. Now I expect that to last me a while.

I installed cat6 when my house was being built back in 2004 to allow setups just like this.
Rye Hots i am very happy that the previous owners of my house installed ethernet in most rooms!
The former owner of my house ran a server, and was very security conscious so he hard wired CCTV cameras all around the house. So I am lucky that there are ethernet ports in most rooms of the house.
However he was very messy and the network hub was very hastily done by punching a hole in the wall with a tangle of cables flowing everywhere that looks like a flying spaghetti monster. He also never bothered putting lids over most most of the cable additions he did, so there are many holes in our walls with wires sticking out.
