Pity the other guys didn't do as well they could've been on the podium. I understand Léon's split wasn't crazy had a tough week with all these W perfs, but Haiyang Qin had a crazy 50 breast split although he also had a very intense week full of wins. But again 100 breast is not Léon's specialty so it's understandable, he has more endurance than speed. They should've got Manaudou or another good freestyler for their free leg... I think if they train more for this specific event they could compete for gold in Paris next year.

They didn’t hesitate to DQ Kaylee McKeon earlier in the week who eventually got MVP. They don’t turn a blind eye on MVP swimmers just cause they’re very good. Léon’s breast dolphin kick has been talked about quite a lot and it’s not a DQ.
