  • A fantastic squirrel session in this episode. The feeder has been in place for a long time and recently the activity around it has increased considerably.
I use the awesome AirArms S510 Extra FAC dialled down to around 15ftlbs, topped off with the Hawke Panorama 4-12x50 scope. To record the scope footage I’ve attached the PARD 007.
These Squirrel’s have been targeted because they cause damage to the golf course trees, chew through the Pheasant feeders and predate on the you song birds nests.
SUBSCRIBE to ensure you keep up to date with the latest videos. Coming up next time we’ve been out foxing, plus the winners of the Olight head torch and Hoodie are announced.
The previous sessions here have been quite fruitful you can see the last outing here:-

Frame 8:01... when the three subjects converge is precisely the reason to rethink the glass vessel. It is a hindrance that runs out the clock as you know Mrs. Foxer is anxiously awaiting today's shopping excursion so you don't have all day....
Thank you for your time and efforts. Really enjoy the multiple camera set up. Your work helps me through the off season. Shoot straight my friend.

My first thought was raise the bottle up higher and have the nuts go down a (covered) angled chute so they appear at the opposite end of the structure to the glass bottle.

Discovered your channel while frustrated with a squirrel infestation in my attic. I have quite a big wooded area in my garden, teeming with squirrels. Not to mention the annual damage to the greenhouse from them throwing horse chestnuts at it. After paying £120 for pest control to catch just one, figured it would be cheaper to do it myself.
Only issue was bringing myself to dispatch a squirrel and then I discovered your channel. Dusted off my old .22 meteor but pellets just seemed to bounce off so purchased a Stoeger A30 (cheap but gets the job done) and got 5 this week. Bitten by the bug now so building my own feeder and starting to thin the numbers in the garden.
Thank you for the hard work you put in and thank you for teaching me how it's done.

A Very professional setup. Bit of a mistake with the glass feeder though. You could use a plastic one and go round it a few times with sellotape so it won’t shatter if you shoot it. It’s always a shame when you can’t take a shot due to the target sat in front of something. That woodland has so many species it’s unreal. Fantastic video.

    • @TeamFoxer
      @TeamFoxer  5 лет назад

It was plastic but they ate it. I really like the glass now. It makes it more interesting and keeps you on edge. You’ll notice in the new location though there is a much sturdier feeder that’s FAC proof. Gonna give it a few more weeks and then see if they’ve found it yet.

Kenneth White anything plastic the squirrels chew through. So this feeder has been working for over a year and has accounted for over 30 grey little shits now. It works and I’m keeping it.

Very good mate 👍🏻 About the buggers standing in front of the jar...was thinking 🤔.....would a triangular strip of wood ( think : Toblerone shaped 😄 ) deter them if it was fitted running up to the bottle neck from your direction ? Either that or maybe some screws driven up from the underside....would also stop homeless squirrels dossing there overnight, like on the posh buildings 😜 ATB, Paul.

Another great video, love the hide. Until some of the videos I didn't realize what an over population of tree rats were doing besides menacing my house. This year I have so many more song birds now that the squirrels are seriously in check. Love to hunt with you when I come to the UK but apparently nothing I own is in the 12 ft lb category. Could I still bring my airrifles that shoot in excess of 20 ft lbs and get a special license? Or is that a big no?
There is no regulation on squirrels here in Texas, USA besides a minimum of 600 fps.

I'd like to know this, too. I'm in London, so unfortunately I can't do much about these horrid things. They're everywhere.

Robin, iam getting a pard 007 nv, I don't know which one to get the 12mm or the 16mm iam only shooting rabbits with a 12ft legal rifle at 30 to 45 yards. Do you have any advice?. Regards Billy 👍🏻

I honestly don’t what the difference is. I assume it’s to do with field of view. Mines got the 12mm and as you may well have seen is fine for squirrels and foxing.

great footage as always, does any one else find that with the pard oo7 that every time i use the focus wheel i have to centre the cross hairs again ,as they go to out of alignment by quite a bit sometimes if i have gone in from close say 10m out to maybe 25 m
