Do you have a reference for the process at 10:53? Quasi-equilibrium theory where the molecular ion spreads the density of its radical charge through the molecule. I’m looking for more info on that process specifically: as the molecular ion forms, how can you predict which (bonding or non-bonding) electron is lost?

"Interpretation of Mass Spectra" by McCafferty is a wonderful resource on EI fragmentation. "Mass Spectrometry: A Textbook" by Gross has a chapter devoted to QET.
