It will be weird seeing anybody other than Jurgen on the sideline
Sky Germany… didn’t they say Alonso was a shoe in for Bayern?
😂 true
They said Alonso is more likely to join Bayern over Liverpool, which might be true. Seems to be heading to Madrid eventually. Apparently Liverpool fans can’t read.
@@M4NA5 the guy asked a question... apparently Arsenal fans can't communicate without arrogance

Liverpool really makes an effort to find a manager who will fit well. Great choice, Ruben.

Breaking news of a rumor reported in Germany, denied by Liverpool.
😂
It would be denied by Liverpool, even if it's true. Liverpool don't go public on stuff like this until the deal has been finalized, because it could still fall through.
@acurisur many trusted sources have confirmed including romano
No better than a 'hand shake' deal.
@JaiAnt-bd7xvthat's crazy that they have denied it 😂
I’m not gonna call him dad….. even if there’s a fire!
And he better not get in my face....or I'll drop that mfkr.
Nice. He's definitely one of the better managers out there.

Good match for sure. I think de zerbi was to much ball possession for liverpool and would take to long for them to adapt to the style

From what I've heard nothing isn't fully agreed as of yet but everything points to Ruben Amorim being Liverpool bound to replace Klopp & I have to say he's gonna gonna thrive at Liverpool. I really rate this man very highly & who was my preferred choice if Ten Hag got sacked. Whoever hasn't watched this man & his team I suggest u do so. Massive from Micheal Edwards Recruitment team has done massively well to get this done quickly
It's just hear say at the the moment - Sky Germany are not the most reliable source for news. But I do hope it is true.
welcome Amorim to Liverpool indeed! Slot says hi
I don't expect Liverpool to all of a sudden drop their standards. I think we can expect more of the same going forward into next season. They will be there or thereabouts, challenging for the title.

Great news
Let me quickly verify with Fabrizio😉
If we look on who is to take he is the best option.. he is young already work with great players and won trophies.. becouse who else ? Zidane ? Doesnt speak English. Conte ? We see what happens at Tottenham also they play boring football when he was the manager... Who else Alonso ? He stays at Bayer.. Nagelsman ? For me he is not better than Amorim... soo yea for all the options Amorim is the best choise.
Lets agree it should have been steve kean and john carver. Plenty of premier league experience.
I'm so glad
@Z.S1992 He isn't liked by a lot of people in Germany, ask Didi Hamann they despise each other. He slagged Bayern off years ago then won back to back titles against them which made him hated. He says himself he isn't liked there. He says a lot of people see him as smug there.
no :( still wanted xabi to change his mind at the end
Here we go, Fabrizio Romano is who I'm waiting for!
Will he be the next special one ! Let's see.
He’s got some big shoes to fill.. I hope he carries on from where Jurgen left off 🙏🏻

Very positive news.
Even if its been leaked too early. It seems perfect
very exciting
Any post-Klopp manager is sure to have a tough task ahead, but Amorim is probably the best suitable candidate to the Liverpool squad and culture, perhaps even more so than Alonso would've been.
He has a good squad. What tough task? It is similar to the manchester city coaches leaving a good squad when they left.
Klopp is a nearly man. But if he doesn't win the league this year unpopular opinion I think it was time to go anyway.

Breaking news from germany about a portugese guy, managing a team in portugal about an english club. Sure.
Wonder what Klopp does after his sabbatical? Depending on how the Euros go, German National Team? Bayern? Barca? Serie A?
Well he will be taking a year break he might not even decide to go back into management but if he does I'm predicting German national team or Dortmund.
Klopp is making a mistake leaving. The German press don't like him because they're mostly all Bayern fans and he got the better of Bayern (look how Hamann treats him) so they won't have his back if things don't go well with the national team.
@@olliered9924 Any chance he goes to Spain or Italy?
Definitely not Barca, there player and culture doesn’t suit his style

Brendan Rodgers kind of appointment.
Oh nooo 🙅♂️
No news yet
If he comes, Liverpool will play more like Man City because he and Pep have similar styles of play.
Not really news if its a rumour
Actually gutted. We need to offer Alonso double what we previously did.
nah we need to respect his decision. he can be the next manager after this
@@MattMajcan Midway through next season? Not a chance.
Maybe I'm being overly pessimistic but I have a feeling it's not going to work out for him.
There was a lot of hype (and expectation) around Alonso because of his attachment to the club and whether the club themselves were actually pursuing him doesn't even really matter, in the eyes of the supporters Amorim will always feel like second choice, so he's naturally going to get less time and patience from the fans for what is going to be a difficult task replacing Klopp.
Also, his style of play is quite literally the counter opposite to Klopp, which is going to take some adjusting to.
Obviously, I am going to fully get behind whoever is in charge and fully back the team regardless of who is in charge, but I also think it's ok to point out your concerns.
Have you looked at his playstyle a bit more in depth? As it is different but certainly applicable, I wouldn't say complete opposite, that would be a park the bus over the top balls only kind of approach. Bringing fullbacks into the midfield.. Thats what Trent (more centrally) and Robbo down the flank do anyway, the only difference is our 2 CB's would move higher up and form a back 3 with Endo(We use a high line anyway so thats perfect!). As for attacking, it is different, but it's still fast-paced quick passing football, everything our players have got in their locker. I can see this being a perfect match for the current squad to be honest. Only time will tell though!
I do agree that our attacking play will take some time to transition, but hopefully he has a full pre-season to get it right. I think you've definitely gone glass half empty and I've gone glass half full, but regardless we must get behind whoever comes to the club. 🔴YNWA
@@JB-bu2lw I think its actually a better system than what we have now. Three center backs so more protection, a double pivot in midfield, 2 10's and a pacy forward. It transitions better, is easier to break a press, and leaves us less exposed.
@@tony1kenobi468 From what I seen of it defensively the system looks a lot more solid yh if it's as good attacking wise as current one I'm not so sure though
The way Klopp plays leaves us way too open, I'd welcome a more balanced set up. With a more balanced set up we'd have won more than 1 Premier League title.
he doesnt feel like a second choice to me, just another choice. theres no reason for me to believe that alonso was a better manager than amorim.. alonso was just the hyped popular choice in the media. anyway, you said yourself you'll fully back whoever is in charge and im sure all liverpool fans will feel the same way so I dont think that he'll "get less time" or whatever.
Oh no
What about Gerrard and Southgate! 😢
Both of those are on the Man Utd shortlist. Get Stevie so he can commence "Operation Relegate Utd" hahahahaha

I'm not a UTD fan but if you guys hire Southgate, then you deserve everything you get - he is no way UTD quality. It's a joke that his name is even mentioned. 😅
Ruben is better than special one.
Take my words please
No he didn't......
Tell the owners to sell so we can keep klop
Breaking new, bottom club still getting point deducted while city still cheated around
We will have to give him time. He isn’t going to be Klopp, but he could be very good, but it’s so tough for him to follow Klopp. I think this is a bit of a gamble but we have to take some chances and the upside could be very good.

Xabi Alonso prefers Bayern
Liverpool favourites to land Jude Bellingham
Ruben Amorim verbal agreement, but Liverpool refute it.
Let’s wait and see what the kingpin correspondents say 🗣️
Alonso probably does prefer Bayern as it's a easier league compared to the EPL. Liverpool were at one point favourites to land Bellingham as he's best mates with Trent, but we can't afford his wage demands so he went to Real Madrid.
As for the Amorim story, this is how Liverpool have always operated, the club will ALWAYS deny any story about a player or manager until the deal has been finalized. Even when the story turns out to be true.
@@acurisur I personally think Alonso has more integrity than that. He will win the bundesliga with Leverkusen, take them into the champions league and go for it then he will move on to another challenge in a different league.
I don’t think we were favourites to sign Bellingham the 2nd time round, maybe the 1st before he blew up. The most reliable journalists never said we were favourites to sign him but we had a chance and he was our top target and I’m sure Bellingham had a lot of thinking to do.
I’m sure Ruben Amorim will likely be the Liverpool manager but no reliable source has said he has a “Verbal Agreement” whilst he is in the middle of a title race, that’s just crazy.
@@MaxwellBXC You're obviously not watching the news then, because the media in both Germany and more importantly, the media in Portugal are saying Amorim is having meetings with Liverpool behind closed doors.
A verbal agreement just means Amorim has said he's interested in the job, until he's actually signed a contract, Liverpool will deny Amorim is the next manager.
@@acurisur to enquire about a manager who is under contract you need to go through the agent and the agent will liaise with the player/manager and the club.
I also wouldn’t believe the Portuguese media on this mate, the main ones are heavily biased towards Benfica and considering Benfica are trying to catch Sporting right now. They are trying to distract him and it’s worked because Fabrizio Romano has tweeted Amorims statement about him denying it he’s told the press conferences tot to bring it up again.
This isn’t an argument or anything I’m just stating that the only thing that’s probably happened between Amorim and Liverpool is that Liverpools representatives have probably enquired and Amorims agent and sporting have probably said “allow us and Ruben to focus on the league title, this season is almost over”
I’m sure he is going to be the Liverpool manager, I’m a Liverpool fan and I want him but I’m calling out that this is rubbish from Sky Germany.
