I find that Amazon very rarely will cancel an order. They would rather you deny the shipment than interrupt their shipping routine. I have asked twice now in 11 years for orders to be canceled- that had not yet shipped and was denied- twice. They seem to magically have already 'shipped' the item you wanted to be canceled on the same day you requested cancelation. Go figure!
A bit late to answer but-- if your order enter shipping process, there is low chance for you to cancel the order specially if you place the order more than 30 mins.

@@christinatouma6422 yes it happened because there were some server issues, so the bank couldn't process my payment. But my money already got deducted and didn't reach to Amazon, and after 15 days I got it back. Just check your balance after some days.

There is a filter for cancel orders .... you should be able to see all your cancel orders there .......tweet to Amazon help for refund ....twitter is very effective contacting support is also helpful .... they can give you status of refund etc

if it has refund policy , once item is picked up it gets refunded and takes 5-8 working days maximum , mine got refunded same day item was picked up ----they give you option whether the refund is to be from the same payment source of amazon pay credit
