Excellent painting! I always thought the desert war was an interesting subject and I like the figures and vehicles from this period, especially the British ones. Thanks for sharing this neat tutorial.
The only vehicles I know are the tanks the British used in North Africa. For infantry support, they used the slow but well armored Churchill and Matilda tanks. When facing the enemy tanks head on, the British used Crusader tanks and ordered them to charge in masse towards them. Crusaders were comparatively very fast, but light armored and their main gun had a shorter range than those of the German tanks. so they frequently lost some Crusaders while closing the gap. They also deployed Lee Tanks made by the US, a quite unique tank equipped with two different main cannons, but could pack quite a punch. Aside from that, I guess they had Jeeps, many different trucks and other vehicles, but I don't know those well.
Lovely painting by what can only be described as a master painter. One thing that really gets on my wick is the names these companies use for their paints. I mean for the green socks we will use Oxycontin on fire granite with a high light of Jumbala insepid bluie lime and for the brown webbing we will use chawded up moon pie umber. There my rant over for another half hour....;
So during the Italian campaign would they still be using this uniform and colour? I’ve been wanting to paint mine up in a late war Italian campaign style.
@@PeteTheWargamer very cool! I'm just getting into the hobby and decided to go with some Japanese infantry. Looking forward to seeing how you paint em up, thanks for the reply! Cheers
How do you work so well with army painter it's frustrating slime like paint cosistancy I carnt seem to work with them what do you so get coverage so well
Keep the paints thinned, 2 parts paint to 1 water at a minimum, 1 to 1 as a preference and make sure you're applying a couple of layers, allowing the first to dry properly before adding the next. Also, make sure you give the bottle a really good shake before you use it. The medium and pigment can become separated leaving you with a weird consistency.
@@PeteTheWargamer sweet! Thank you! I guess one other thing is love to see is a mock up of the CRE (Canadian royal engineers) They had a strange uniform color compared to UK counterparts. I'd love to see a video on them!

Doing some research I found a British armored vehicle that packed a decently powerful gun on 4 wheels: the AEC 75mm Armored Car
Despite not understanding very well all the advice you give, I love your tutorials. Greetings from Spain.
Hello! If it's helpful I could share with you my script for the video. That way you could translate the text where you needed :)

Very skillful painting! Do you happen to have a tutorial on the way you would paint Japanese infantry ?
Nothing in the pipeline at the moment but it's definitely something I would like to tackle at some point.

As silly as this sounds could you do the polish army please, before the fall of Poland even though it is an uncommon army to do.
Fantastic paint by the way I forgot to mention I love watching your vids in my spare time.
Nice idea, I will keep it in mind for my future Bolt Action videos :D
