Amazing build, hits & tips... thank you ! I wish we could get a boost in the building budget...... Shelters are a bust these new camp slots that are coming will just let us build another camp with a small building budget... not cool ! Well thanx again for all the great building tips, really hope I can use it down the road if they ever increase the budget 🤔
First half is easy to follow.. then you are going fast and screen is moving a lot.. even when I pause and watch a few times.. my pieces are not the same.. even if the video was 20 min and detailed.. it would be watched.. I love camp building.. and always looking for a cool way to improve!
I'll revisit the topic, and do a slower build video. I'm still new to this whole tutorial thing, and each video is a learning experience. I appreciate your feedback as it helps me to make better content for everyone to enjoy. Thank you.😄
ruclips.net/video/jviAHBVTlJo/видео.htmlsi=4oaqUydbUo0yf69j Two part tutorial for the full build here's the first half. You can find both parts on my channel.
This is great. The only problem I had was adding walls that lined up nicely. There is a noticeable gap between this 45 angle and the addition of walls to finish off the room. Ideas? Did I miss something?
No, you didn't miss anything, there's really no good way to make the walls line up perfectly, so you can fill the gap with stacked counters or a steel post. Check out my other videos on my channel page to find the two part full tutorial for this build.
@@StoleYaSweetroll thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I just wanted to make sure that I didn't miss a beat. I had watched both videos, and appreciate your time. Thanks.
Mine did the same exact thing. I put a steel post to cover it so it's a little better. I still have to add on to the rest of the foundations and walls. How did yours come out?
Yah know, with a little tweaking and a sufficiently sloped hillside, this could be used for some layered circle builds. Possibly offsetting each merged foundation by a half wall height so that all roofing can stay aligned.
I know this is probably a really stupid question but at the end when you are changing the floor prints is that a option once you have already blueprinted in concrete or are those other blueprints all together. Wanted to do the same wood flooring but made mine on concrete foundation like you did in the beginning. Thanks.
I've just done this, and then realized that there should be an other 3 hour long video about how to roof it. :D Especially if I want to do it by my own, without other player's help. I know that I can use the flamer trap to destruct thing, but the roof??? :D
I want to point out a separate roofing merge that I used in some of my round structures - by using a flamethrower to break a roof, you can place an intersecting roof that would otherwise not be buildable - then repair the original roof. You have two roofs merged together! Last I tested this, it was okay, but it may need to be tested again since its been a while since I used this tech.
Got up to the first blueprint part and tried to place that but it keeps stopping me from doing so, saying that it’s “floating”. Did I do it wrong or miss something? 😅
No, you did it right. I'm afraid at some point while I was on a break from 76 Bethesda must have patched the foundation flip merge, however I hear it's possible to still place blueprints of already merged foundations. It's just getting them to merge that is the problem. I wish I had better news for you, but I can't get it to work either anymore. 😕
It's very finicky. The places this will snap down are a lot harder to find because they changed something with the support restrictions on foundations. They really like perfectly level ground now, and even then it's a challenge to place.
Me too. I keep hoping they'll release a alternative, or perhaps bring them back in a future season... it really sucks that they put them in season where so many new players will never get the chance to earn them after missing season 2. There's 2 camps of players around this subject, and I understand those who earned it don't want their work diminished by a re release, but here we are. In my opinion I think the best thing Bethesda could do is release the rest of the industrial set from Fo4. That keeps the metal framed glass exclusive to those who earned it, and gives an alternative to those who missed it.
I’ve seen leaks of the green house set is going to be coming back but not sure when most said to check the vendor guy at foundation there has been old battle pass stuff I’ve seen him sell so far
I've yet to check after the update if any element of this technique is broken, but prior to the update there was issues with snapping if the height of the snapping foundation was too high or too low. There's a bit of a goldilocks zone if you will when it comes to the blueprint actually snapping in place.
@@StoleYaSweetroll ah.. ok.. I will mess around with that. :) OH and FYI. I have noticed after this last patch. Remember when we could make a blueprint of the Stair posts . then was able to place the BP of them like anywhere? . ya .. we cant do that now...
That gap is so pesky. The wooden counter set works really good for covering it up. The little corner pieces fit really well. The main thing is just making sure you've got the difference split evenly on both sides.
From what I'm hearing some things have changed on how the game registers collision with certain foundation types. You could try doing the merge with wood foundations, and see if that changes anything. I know I've been having issues with foundation merging lately too.
There's multiple ways to do it, and a complete tutorial is coming soon, I'm working through all the details of the build before dropping the build video of the lakside cabin camp so everyone can hopefully be on the same page when i do. Short and simple though is you have to float a roof in place, then build the walls under it, and use pvp or flamer trap to merge, and blend the front of the camp to the rest of it.
@@StoleYaSweetroll I use many technique to remove and add and blend roofs via PVP technics but still - not so good result. Still awaiting for your video
@@herbenevolence4198 oh you just place the flamethrower next to a wall or object, destroy it, then build the new item over it, then repair the wall or item ect.... so its breaking an item and then placing a new one and repairing
Yes, you have to use post, or partition off rooms on each side to fill to fill the gap. It's able to be done cleanly. Check out "log cabin #2" or "lakeside cabin" for examples of how I covered the gap.
