Isla Fisher actually almost drowned during that watertank scene. The crew thought she was acting drowning. But she did for real and was saved just in time.

@@tainaaguiar5039 no, I believe because she was pregnant at the time of shooting the sequel.
@@YaraMay20 It was one of the last sequences shot, though, so it is possible she had a personal grudge against the filmmakers.
This is legit one of my favorite movie franchises (This one and the sequel). Definitely recommend watching the sequel too. I'm happy that someone actually posted a reaction of this.

SEB! At the end, when they say they’re looking for another horseman and they count down, what you are supposed to see when you open your eyes it’s your reflection on the black screen. I always thought it was a very clever last trick to end the movie that way!

1:58 The struggling against the chains that she did in the tank is real. The chains were supposed to have a release mechanism but it failed and the crew mistook her actual struggling for acting.
When I first watched this movie, the style of the magic tricks looked very familiar and my suspicion was confirmed when I checked the credits and David Copperfield was listed as Magic advisor. I've watched one of his shows back in the 90s and his style is very distinctive.
Copperfield told stories w his tricks, too~ Awww this whole thing is just great 🥳
I've always prided myself on figuring out the plot twist but to this day this is the one that beat me. Such an epic reveal.
You should definitely watch the sequel! It's just as much fun as the first one. Hopefully, we'll get a 3. 🤞

I'm so glad to see somebody react to this movie!! Now You See Me (and the sequel) are some of my favorite movies. Idk I can rewatch them a million times over. The sequel do be sequeling but I still like it a lot.

Yeah this first movie is easily one of my favourites of all time. The first watch is great but the replay value is amazing - that reveal at the end was perfection😮💨. The look of realisation on Thaddeus’ face, the silence followed by Dylan’s whispered “on the inside”. Just elite filmmaking.
This is a movie I could watch 100 times and still be entertained, I loved all the characters and the premise is just so cool, definitely makes me wanna go to a magic show
you should 100% react to the sequel as well, its SO GOOD. even if you don't do it as a reaction, watching it in your own time would be so fun
I didn't see it coming the first time and this is one of the best twists I have seen, it made the movie very rewatchable

YES!!! I WAS SO SAD TO FIND OUT HOW UNDERRATED THIS MOVIE IS AND HOW LITTLE REACTIONS THERE ARE. One of my all time favourite movies. And yes you should absolutely watch the second one

The sequel is pretty good as well and worth checking out.
That being said, since you have interest in magic and covered this film, you have to watch the goat of magic films, and that’s “The Prestige”. Absolutely amazing film and something I know you’d enjoy!
This movie was such a hit opening weekend! It was fun, intriguing, and cool! It has so many great tricks in it, and one of my fave parts is when Ruffalo gets the cuffs thrown onto him by JE, and he says that line about always be the smartest person in the room. The movie had everyone guessing til the very end. On another note- long ago, myself and my sisters went to go see David Copperfield on 3 different occasions and he usually always did a meet and greet of sorts after the show. 😊

The sequel is so good, the tricks can get even whackier and it's impressive.

I LOVE these movies, so glad you’re reacting! You absolutely should watch the second one. It’s different but still has a ton of cool tricks and I personally think it also has a great story. You learn a little bit more about some of the characters also.

Just saw Shin Lim perform an incredible magic show in Las Vegas back in March and it was so fun. Love watching professional magicians, just wish they were more common.
Fun fact, its actually funny that you said Gracias when the french guy appear at the first show, cause he is a french actor named Garcia. So I really thought you knew him and was shocked for a moment xD

This movie holds a special memory for me... Cause when I saw it in theaters, I spent the whole film trying to figure out the tricks, and I figured out the twist by the end of the Louisana section, so when I was proven right at the end, I accidentally jumped up and yelled "Yes!" Scaring the people in the seats above me. (Thankfully, the theater was mostly empty, so it wasn't an issue, but it was still a fun time)
This is one of my favorite films and so is the second one Awesome Reaction!

I'm a fan of Now you see me movies. Some people I know don't like them that much, but I enjoyed them, especially seeing the second one in a theatre was fun.

Seb, you should watch The Prestige! It is about vintage magicians in a rivalry and it has got Wolverine and Nikolai Tesla in it!
Also, love your magic tricks! Tried to learn magic myself but I have a condition that makes my hand-eye coordination suck. But I had a book on magic tricks and the preface had a lot of the history, much of which was referenced in this movie, so it was so cool to watch this secret society in action.
