When Journey introduced Arnel way back years ago and had their first concert at Hardrock in Las Vegas , Arnel’s voice was awesome. Fast forward many years later , his voice is not there anymore.
You might not hear the rest of Journey as much, but trust me, their voices aren't what they used to be either. If he never left, Steve Perry wouldn't have a voice in the present day.
I think fans are more forgiving to Arnel lasting 17 years singing these hard songs. The fact that they can fill arenas and stadiums is a great testament.
I mean this with the upmost respect to Arnel. He's had quite the "journey". But he's done. His voice has crapped out. He was great when he first joined. But singing those songs night after night all these years have taken its toll.
He needs two months rest no singing, I'm afraid it's going to damage his vocals which is sad. If I were him , he better not renew that contract with journey.

Saw Arnel on his first tour with Journey and he was wonderful but it seems things have really changed. His journey has been a great one though.

I can semi agree, before we ever got to the venue I said I didn’t like him. He can’t hit the high notes anymore but the rest sounds ok.
