I finally got an idea for this character's backstory, woot! (I animated them once before for this map part: • Mambo OC MAP -:- Part 2 )
This doubled as both exploration of this character and a bit of experimentation with Premiere Pro, some mixed results.... twas fun nonetheless!
------The Story------
They're a glass "demon" of sorts that can collect bits of talent and energy from those around them. However to do this, their small statue form needs to come in contact with various people of skill. So they brokered a deal with a club owner who held various "talent shows" and the winners would earn this statue. Each time a new winner was found, the statue would get passed onto them.
As this continued on, the demon stored more and more energy--of course sharing this with their partner-in-crime as was their deal. But in the club owner's greed for more, they smashed the statue (old-fashioned piggy bank style).
Spiteful and shattered, the demon reformed themselves and in return for the club owner's "kindness" absorbed their entire being, regaining the lost energy and the status of "new club owner". Now they go own absorbing tidbits of energy from patrons and giving /special/ treatment to those who may try to usurp their position.

This video inspired me to create my all time favorite villian in my D&D world, Thank you so very much for makeing this, it's a beatifull video, a incredible balance bettwen the visuals and the song, Creating a first sorrowfull betrayed narative, followed up by a reveal that it's a stone hearth in a fair frame (That's at least my take on the video itself, i do know of the description story, but heh art can be viewed from many angels? c: ).
He is absolutely LOVELY! I genuinely admire the craft in his design, almost reminding me of a vengeful dragon ready to strike his prey... Absolutely captivating!
