I never saw it before today but I’m so glad she’s being credited. It’s so horrible when people steal a piece of art to the point no one knows where it came from
One thing I forgot to mention is that the demon guy is her little sidekick and she swings him around as some form of weapon. I never really fleshed out the details, but that was the basic idea I had in mind.

I really like this, the texture is nice, and it feels more dynamic and alive compared to some past art, which was still good, but sometimes could be stiff. I think using new materials every now and then always helps improve artists, we get so stuck in the just how we are used to doing things that it can stunt our growth as artists and we can get lazy by resorting to just doing art the way we always do it, because even if we mainly want to specialize/master a particular medium if you are forced to figure out how to use and problem solve with a less familiar medium it makes you think more about HOW you are making your art when you go back to your preferred medium.

Sometimes it's because the series fails and no one likes it, like the studio vlogs and the "celebrity tells me what to draw". Well, there will be a second celebrity one because I already paid for it, but that's about it. And some just get old and uninteresting, like princessify, so I stop them. I gotta keep changing with the times!
This was an awesome illustration!! Putty easers are very helpful in cleaning up pastel mistakes or smudges. Just make sure you really knead the easers afterwards and you can keep going. I've been using pastels are the past 2 weeks, which isn't my usual medium and its been trial and error....allot of error, but the putty easer helped to hide some of those errors lol!!

Those *water based* sharpie paint pens are GREAT for highlights and corrections on illustrations! The oil based ones only work on non-porous surfaces otherwise they soak into the paper and disappear.
Hey Baylee! If this helps with your pastels mushing together problem, cotton swabs/q-tips work GREAT for blending and pushing the colors around and it gives the pastels an overall even color and is more prone to non-smudging because there's not all the dust around. Love your artwork always!
That was really fun..it’s nice to stretch yourself sometimes with things you do not always use..I like to do a blurry background like flowers behind some of my coloured images..it is softer and makes the image pop a bit more as well as brings the picture together..Love your picture you did too,great fun and full of movement 😀
Ohhh, this series is going to be so fun! The colors are beautiful on that black paper. Also, really fun illustration! I like the traditional one more than the digital one actually. The demon is cuter lol. I will say the eyebrows on the girl (in the digital piece) had a bit more expression though. Either way, I had so much fun watching this!

I love what they included for this box, they really put alot of thought into what they sent to you. (I'm using the word "they" because I don't know if that person is a guy or girl and either way I really hope that they love the artwork Bayls is going to send.)

chalk pastels (esp. soft pastels) are tricky to work with. The thing a lot of people try with them which doesnt work is going in for details. Chalks are always designed to go big and just more or less do the rough stuff. I think you handled it well. However I suggest a bigger sheet of paper for them. Thats just what works better with them c: I really like the fact she gave you toned paper for the pastels. It didnt have to be black, but I think its a great contrast to the soft colors you got so probs to Candice :3
I just realized I could have taped 4 sheets of paper together to make bigger paper. Woops. Although that would have been hard to fold up to mail it back to Candice, haha.
