    Hanging the light at 16 inches you get 1050 in the center and mid to high 800s in the far corners. Set it to 1000 like you do similar sized wattage lights.

    Love this light.
    It’s my favorite light so far I’ve grown with.
    This is built with growers in mind with the modular build. If something does go wrong with one of the bars you can simply ship bar back and swap it out and not lose the entire light.
    Awesome awesome build.
    I vegged my entire 4x4 and never got passed 50% on the dial and in flower I maxed out at 80% .
    800 PAR in the corners and 900 in the middle.
    I don’t know what Shane is talking about. The build is absolutely near perfect. It’s a much better build then folding lights and snap in bars. Much more secure with less to go wrong. I think you’re over looking it’s a modular build and better than having drivers stuffed into the light itself with no name brand drivers and LEDs like a few over priced bulky inferior lights.

    Why so many spider farmer haters? I've used them for a few years next to hlg, and optic slims, without a single problem. I have a buddy that's been pulling 2lbs off of sf4000s. I just bought 12 se7000s, I could of bought any lights I wanted, but $650 for a 720 watt light with high end components, it's hard to go wrong. And no, sf does not sponsor me, I've bought all my equipment myself.

    • @uglitor
      @uglitor 2 года назад +1

      Because lots of people are having problems with these lights. Try to put yourself in their shoes. If SF's products wouldn't have as much problems with units failing, there wouldn't be as many people "hating" the brand.

    • @timpage5021

    • @uglitor
      @uglitor 2 года назад

      @@timpage5021 Read growing forums, it's way more than just "1 or 2 haters". And it's not due to any fanboyism but actual problems.
      I do understand that some people who have bought Spiderfarmer lights have the need to hype the product and may have a negative response towards anyone who critiques the product they have bought. But please try to realize and understand that it doesn't help the people who have had bad experience with these lights or the customer service with Spiderfarmer one bit.
      Hell, there even is a reviewer on RUclips who used Spiderfarmer LEDs and within couple of weeks multiple diodes had died on the light, but he just made everyone think it's ok and "cool" because he ran the lights "so hard"! Like wtf? Driving lights hard (meaning he didn't dim them) and causing the product to brake down is a cool and "street", "gangsta" thing in his opinion?
      But I digress...
      Bottom line: If the light works great for you and you have zero problems with it, great! But please don't belittle the people who have had problems and poor experience with the said product, and just brush the critique off as being a fanboy of other brands.
      By doing so, the tables have kinda turned and you are doing the fanboyism and ignoring other's poor experiences with the product. In my opinion it serves no one except the manufacturer. If Spiderfarm would listen to the critique and problems people are having and then upping their QC or processes to have less faulty units, it would be a win-win for everyone.
      Peace!

    MIGRO with a proper and accurate review. Not my favorite company but this light is very good. It covers a lot of area and has the output for a good haul. For the price it’s great. Much cheaper than other top lights.
    Not ultra efficient tho. i’d recommend setting up the driver outside the area. It gets hot but not out of control.
    Like MIGRO says, it’s a great bang for you buck and I cannot complain about the end results. Stinky with heft and shiny…
    I would def think about getting a light from a higher quality manufacturer but if this is at your price limit then you’re still doing fine.
    Just some observations from an owner. I’ve had it for about 2 years. What MIGRO said is fair and his review gets it 100%

    Wish 'they' would stop using poorly insulated wires on these high temperature grow lights. Would be awesome if you started pointing it out so they can improve the lights. Serious desing flaw to have insulation on wires that are only rated 60c. The light can melt right through that. Keep seeing it from many of the Chinese brands. Even 105c is really not enough. They really should be using something like silicone rubber rated at 200c or something comparable. Terrible design considering it would only cost them a few cents to use wire that won't melt under normal operation.
    I digress. Glad to see you're still plugging away making great content for us! :-) Stay high.

    How would you determine if a light will last for a long time, is it possible to somehow test the true quality of the lights? And would you stand behind the company's name for quality?
    I'm asking because brands like SF and MH have excellent numbers and stats, great components, good features.. But do you think they really test and build every light in the same way? Maybe they sent you the best model which was tested and built specially for you as a partner, but they wouldn't do the same for customers.
    There are many bad reviews of SF and MH.. People saying the lights stopped working after 1 month, started flickering, not turning off completely, not true wattage, diodes burning out, lamp overheating, drivers melting, getting electric shocks from the heatsink etc..
    Some of the reviews you can read makes your hair stand up! And all the reviews are posted recently in 2021.
    And there are also many bad reviews for their poor customer service. People complained the companies didn't honor the warranty, lied about shipments and refunds, sending the wrong models, sending parts to fix yourself, or waiting for repairs for more than a month, having to pay extra for shipping and repairs, not getting replies to e-mails, phone number not working etc..
    And the worst thing is, their prices started to get higher and closer to real quality brands. They used to be ''cheaper brands'' but now they're not so cheap anymore. Especially with the included risks, it can be very expensive.
    I've seen good reviews as well, but since they are so aggressive with marketing it wouldn't be surprise that most of the good reviews are fake. They're paying advertising and sending free lights left and right. And all of their partners are reviewing the light as soon as they get it, nobody ever reviewed the light after 1, 2, 3 years etc..
    So how would one make sure the light will be good, without buying it and playing a gambling game?
    EDIT: So i tried to post this comment multiple times but it keeps getting deleted. I cannot type the name of the companies so i guess everybody knows about SF and MH brands.
    And i cannot post the name of the website for the reviews either. So i'll try it like this and hopefully i bypass the ''cancelling'' and ''censoring''
    Check the bad reviews on the usual big online stores. And check the reviews on the website that has the words TRUST (and the person who rides the plane, it's not a driver, it's a P....)
    And check the reviews for their each website ending in different domains, depending on the country/continent, each website has its own reviews, and all of them are mostly bad..

    Is the life expectancy reduced if the fixture is dialed back to 75% for prolonged veg cycles or is it more efficient and cost effective to run a less powerful fixture? It would be nice to know if it makes sense to get a unit like this for the times you need the horsepower but also be able to utilize it for the times when you don't. Having multiple fixtures is costly and space consuming to store when they are not in use.

I am interested in the differences between the diodes and if the ppfd is delivered in a better light spectrum by either the SE7000 or the Luna Pro +... there are over 3000 LM301 diodes on the SE7000 and 2016x 2835 diodes on the Luna Pro + however the Omega delivers 2.9umol/w and over 1800ppfd... so which is better?

    • @twentytwo138
      @twentytwo138 2 года назад

      No, it's not better value.
      Aray is much better quality, and Migro is an honest business. Aray will last longer and his warranty will be honored. His numbers are fairly true.

      @Convolutedtubules 2 года назад +1

      @@twentytwo138 I have a Migro light but looking at other lights, recently they seem to be stepping up their game. For example some lights have a 5 year warranty, more LEDs, higher output, higher efficiency, comparable price, and the fixture style is very similar with the 8 bars widely. spaced. There's other things also that I can't remember off the top of my head.
      Is the Migro Aray 8 still the clear winner, all things considered?

    • @twentytwo138
      @twentytwo138 2 года назад +3

      @@Convolutedtubules Yes, absolutely a clear winner. Migro doesn't lie and inflate his numbers, like the brands you're thinking about. Those 5 years warranty you mentioned are not true. Check their description better. Only 1 year is free warranty, for the rest you have to pay shipping, repairs, components etc.
      And check my other comment, i spoke about their reviews.
      Btw i'm talking about SF and MH brands specifically. There are other good quality brands.

He hung it to where it was throwing down 1300 par in the center . He’s tested similar size and wattage lights at the 1000 mark . So he should set it there. I set mine at 1000 and im hitting 850 in far corners. You absolutely do not need co2 . Mines hung at 16 inches above the canopy. And the build is phenomenal. Super light weight.
