Anakin's release to SWB2 may have been the most OP character I've ever seen in a video game to be honest. The memories of when Heroic Might would grow substantially in both radius and damage so you could insta-kill heroes across the map haha

I vividly remember these days. Anyone who chose anakin usually won the game alone it was nuts how busted he was. I wanted to experience this power so much but he was always already being played. Then one day is happened. Day before his patch. I experieced the most broken hero and turned the tides of the game. I'll never forget that 13 caught reteibution kill.
I will never forget the moment an Anakin single handedly ruined a GA match for me and possibly ton of other players. We were on Endor playing as the Empire side and I was Darth Maul with a few other heroes. A good match it was, we were having fun up until the final part where we had to take control of that final room. During the match we noticed an Anakin and did everything to avoid him as we knew how ridiculously OP he was back then and I think he was killed during the match but the dude playing as him had lots of credits so I think he came back (I dont remember how long Anakin was present). Anyway, in that final part, that asshole playing as Anakin finally used his middle ability and choked all of us. All we could do was watch in horror as we were choked and shot down by enemy troops as we watched, not being able to do anything. That day was the day i sensed a build up in darkness in not just myself, but many other players because of that damn OP Spamakin, I was so pissed i reported that player even though it was obviously stupid and pointless but that damn Spamakin created a bunch of sith lords with that one ability. Im not resentful towards that player nor do i wish pain on him. I wasnt pissed we lost as i do not care about winning or losing but rather the experience, i was just so pissed by how all the fun we were having was basically killed in just a few seconds.
Yea back during Anakin's prime all you could do as the villains was stay away from him completely. When Anakin arrived it seemed impossible to get a good game as a villain. I died so many times as especially Darth Maul and Palpatine.
Gotta give it to that one Stormtrooper at 3:15 for standing his ground, and fighting, instead of running away! I mean... especially after watching his entire squad get annihilated! lol

I'm honestly glad I didn't start playing until a few months ago. I'm so use to using Anakin as he is now that if I was around when the nerd happened I would have been greatly disappointed. Anakin is a good character to play as still
The good days, honestly i miss that Anakin not only by the fact that when you where using it you felt like god but also as a villian you need to think a lot, be fast and strategic to beat him, not now that the rookies think he is inmortal and they go after you without a plan

I agree, while I get extremely strong characters/weapons/etc. in any game can lead to frustration, it’s what makes them the most fun. Nerfs are always overdone, I feel instead of large scale nerfs devs should do small scale ones and instead do buffs to other characters
Reino Piirilä freeze is 4 seconds long and that’s on a 20 second cool down... I don’t think it would be OP because Retribution takes such a long time to charge up. You want it to be a great and satisfying ability to use.

They should make a What If episode about it. Anakin at full potential should be similar to a Mortis god. He should have the power to rip up entire battlefields with the Force alone. He can't be in a game though, because he'd just hold out a hand and suddenly the entire CIS base would be crushed into a ball.
Imagine being the one heavy at 3:10 seeing anakin coming, dodging his abilities and watching all of his teammates get killed at once...yet he still went down shooting
Just to explain this a little: before anakin came out everyone was complaining that the dark side way over powered the light and that’s part of the reason anakin came out as OP as he was.
That's very true. The dark side was so OP that people begged for Anakin to be strong and people still had doubts that one character could impossibly make the light side step up their game against the dark side. However they did not anticipate Anakin being OP to this extent haha

They should make a What If episode about it. Anakin at full potential should be similar to a Mortis god. He should have the power to rip up entire battlefields with the Force alone. He can't be in a game though, because he'd just hold out a hand and suddenly the entire CIS base would be crushed into a ball.

Just to explain this a little: before anakin came out everyone was complaining that the dark side way over powered the light and that’s part of the reason anakin came out as OP as he was.
That's very true. The dark side was so OP that people begged for Anakin to be strong and people still had doubts that one character could impossibly make the light side step up their game against the dark side. However they did not anticipate Anakin being OP to this extent haha
