This is original, beautiful, a big performance, and a great team and band, I love the lemon twigs, and this guys are going to be the next biggest band ever
Fab performance including Twigs’ stage presence; I can see why this won them so many new fans. P.S. The lighting, videography, editing, and direction are mesmerizing. Loving this.
if you thought the drummer reminds you of Moon check out Michael on drums when he and his brother Brian used to switch it around. The Amoeba gig. The Lemon Twigs - Live at Amoeba
This used to be my favourite song of theirs when they used to nail their harmonies. So now instead of listening to each other, Michael is more concerned with upstaging the rest of the band. I know he’s always been more of a ‘performer’ but sometimes he could rein it in a little for the sake of making the entire song sound better, not just his part.
It's common for bands like The Lemon Twigs to do things like this. They're just tour members. They switch it up every once in a while just like every other 1 to 2 manned ban (i.e Gorillaz, MGMT, etc)
@@daft_punker Megan and Danny had been playing with the brothers since 3rd grade. Danny now has his own thing he's pursuing. I think it was a amicable, mutual parting of ways. I do think Michael drove the band more directly on the drum throne. The new drummer is very good. I think their new focus required the change. They say they have enough material "in the can" for 2 more albums. One will be a more straight-ahead rock album. Should be interesting.
Was such a fan of this band until I saw them live.... write some great songs but this new line up isn’t as good as the old 4 with one of them on the drums. The younger one needs to be behind the drums when I saw them live he was such a muppet!
I agree that Michael is a pleasure to watch on the drums, and a great drummer, but this new kid on the drums is absolutely stellar, and the new bassist and keys player are both more proficient at their instruments.
I really disagree, the new band are a lot better. They're good enough for Brian and Michael to be able to flex, old band was great but it was pretty clear that Michael and Brian were leaps and bounds ahead of them musically.
Steaming Weasel most of their songs are extremely similar in style to early 10cc, Todd rundgren and the raspberries to name Just three and this song is very similar to the material on Andrew gold’s first album
My god that transition at 3:08, impeccable. It takes both talent and chemistry with your band mates to pull that off
words can't describe this band just too good
When you think music couldn't get any better.........
And then it does, and really makes life worth living.
Music can change but it can't "get better". It's art, and art is not improving. Only evolving. (of course some eras are better)
@@ThisisBrownfield Evolving...but some eras are better??? You just contradicted your own claim lol
You couldn’t have said it better!❤
This is original, beautiful, a big performance, and a great team and band, I love the lemon twigs, and this guys are going to be the next biggest band ever
When I thought that rock was about to die, these talented kids make me feel like there's some hope.
So happy to see the remaining Ramone has found a new project.
Brian has such a beautiful voice
Gotta love hearing and seeing bands today with heavy influences from the 60's and 70's.
Michael is funny when he's playing the guitar and dance at the same time haha.
Bonus points for that.
Hopefully the BBC will share the 3rd song performed, Never In My Arms, Always In My Heart..
I wish they played the fire though!
Yes, or my album favourite "Never Know".
That drummer is in a different league
I think you mean spectrum
Nice to see that Michael is back in action, we missed him in Paris!
Big influence from supertramp?? First time I've heard these, really like it!!
I see Michael dragged all the new members down to Thrifty's in NYC for a makeover......
Just Legends ❤!!!!
Nice, Jools is playing the drums
Really looks like him right
Man, that guy in the pink t-shirt, walking like a cartoon character when the song is finished, hahahahahahah
I can appreciate that they have a nice sense of humor. lol xoxo best wishes to these guys.
That was freaking awsome!
thought that jools on the drums at first lol
LOL :D
I just did as well lol Looks like him in his Squeeze days :D
Zak I thought it was the bloke off fantasy island🤪
EVERYTHING!🌸

Estos pibes la rompen!! ❤️
the boys have good chops; new bassist growing on me
Magnificent
Best thing since of Late of the pier.
Now there's a great band I completely forgot about
Theyre the best i absolutely love the lt
😄😄😄 My heart is dancing!
Love how the drummer apes the actual drummer's style- brilliant!
You might like a band called The Doublejumps if you like listening to Lemon Twigs
Awesome!
Pure talent
Drummer reminds me of Keith Moon, great song.
The original drummer, the guy with glasses, was even more moon-esque
if you thought the drummer reminds you of Moon check out Michael on drums when he and his brother Brian used to switch it around. The Amoeba gig. The Lemon Twigs - Live at Amoeba
Save the 60's and the 70's!
Consider them saved.
This is where I heard them for the first time haven’t stopped listening to them since 😘🍻
killing it
This band is truly something
They are indeed. Check them out. Four or five years’ worth of genius music. I am rabid to see them LIVE again!
How is no one talking about Darylls makeup??? Its so good!!
My way
Always better
I miss the old bassist and keyboardist. It just isn't the same without them.
SimplyJojo what happened?
@@totigerus they wanted "jazz" players, more improvisation, dont want to play the same show every time.
@@sticky-fingers makes sense
This is a much tighter band. Great musicians.
Same bro

that's what the studio is for :)
Yeah, Michael is a blowhard
Somebody in the band has to be a performer. Otherwise it’s just Rush, or Yes.
That a Joey Ramone on guitar?
Is that Syd Barrett on bass?.....
Are these dudes actually living on 2018???
Yes. Thank the universe.
Better than greta van zeppelin
ahhhhh there's always one
For sure
Have you listened to rival sons they are really good.
A LOT!.
It's cause they actually have their own sound
nice
Tem algo de mutantes no ar
Got a Dark Side of the Moon vibe at 0:55
I actually think there performance of this at Glastonbury was better..punchier...4 piece with Michael on drums
here before 15 views
Literally nobody cares
@@jossmotley-nash1377 i don't know how small your brain is but what i put was a joke.
It's hard tell that its sarcasm as there is no emotion in the text.
Greta Van Fleet and The Lemon Twigs!! Best bands in the world
Gene Loves Jezebel?
What happened to the bass girl and the piano player?????

Michael's only 19. He's just finding himself, he'll settle down.
bring back danny and megan!
I agree..the original band was less pretentious...no tiresome contrived posturing

Sound like an 80s song
Why they let the older brother sing during Holland!? They could’ve been famous!!
I would love to hear Paul McCartney's opinion on the Twigs, as I think he'd be a huge fan.
McCartney gets far too much credit for what that boyband produced. I mean, the guy literally wrote the frog song at the height of his fame lol
Poor girl?
Getting Supertramp vibes off of this
Look très Années 70 musique aussi, pas trop mon truc.
look at his antics..takes away from his great talent
Just another revival, nothing is new about the sound, vibe or expression.
they are very good but i think the singer needs a few singing lessons at times.
What‘s up with the drummer? Love the playing, but he somehow looks really... unwell?
Copy old music, and the youth think its original...hilarious.
Subcomandante73 but then if bands do something different or original the older generation say it's shit...hilarious.
Subcomandante73 So please tell me which song this is a copy of........
I see you like The Ninth Wave........ They sound like The Cure... hilarious.
I am seventy in January... a seventy year old youth....hilarious.
Steaming Weasel I’m 15 and seem to be the only male in my school who doesn’t listen to hip-hop 24/7. Rock on dude
Steaming Weasel most of their songs are extremely similar in style to early 10cc, Todd rundgren and the raspberries to name Just three and this song is very similar to the material on Andrew gold’s first album
They need more practice. This isn't as good as it could be.
Please do tell us what you think could be better
its as good as it needs to be
