First day getting back into fire, you'll notice I made quite a lot of mistakes. I got pi in this key as well.
What do you think about Frost in 10.1?
@@alexbarcan4705 its AOE situation is looking quite bad, and its st looks mediocre compared to apparently strong classes like evoker and warlock
Would love it if you could do commentary vids for fire like you did with frost. Those helped me tremendously, Im sure a lot of ppl would be interested in that. Thank you for the content you have provided so far, you have been a huge help.

Cool to see you posting again. Can I ask, how does mage look for next patch? I've heard some not so good things, which worries me since mage is the only thing I play this expansion.
It is looking on the more mediocre side for frost and fire, with frosts AOE being in the gutter, and arcane being pretty bad. I have faith we'll get buffs early in the season like this tier, the issue is with frost is that it needs its tier set buffed.

Lmao, "fire is definitely not something you can just afk" True, I was asked if I wanted to run a key last night and was like 'ehhh do I really want play fire right now?'
Where did you get the weakaura with SKB stacks and combust ready? I guess it the same that also says "Too late" if you dont want to consume ur SKB before combust is up if its even what it means 😅
I want to try fire again, but its dmg ramp so slow and with pugs that Focus on your combustion target...
And if you are in a comp with ret paladin or other AoE burst dps, you dont take any value to your mastery.😢

Can't wait for the next patch after 10.1 where mage gets the long awaited returning skill frostfire bolt! IS WHAT I WOULD SAY.. if blizzard even remembered we exist so they can actively troll us instead of passively.
I am just leveling my fire mage. Thinking about arcane too, but it looks way more difficult than fire. But cant decide 😀
Swapping fire for next patch to try and regain my enjoyment of mage. ST opener makes sense with firestarter, but AOE optimization is where I seem to not find a good opener. Noticed you just threw out a fireball/fireblast to get it started, is that the optimal way?
abusing firestarter would be stronger, but could potentially cost combust uses which is why we head near straight into combust. You'll notice my combust came back up just in time for my skb + combust opener on boss. For AOE generally you just do a fireball -> fireball + fireblast combust -> double pyro.
@@Manather Awesome thank you for the response. Been trying to get better, raid I feel like im not horrible, but in keys I just can't seem to keep up. Did a failed run of halls and ended at 80k, which feels quite low. Currently at 416, have a shadow priest and rogue doing significantly more xD

Hi! Started to play mage on retail, and I have a question, why do you sometimes cast fb/scorch inside of comustion? I would use flames here to get hot streak but you sometimes use fireball + blast, or scorch instead, what is the reasoning behind it as for me it feels like a waste of time. Ty for help
With the talent from the ashes you want to avoid using your phoenix flames during combustion to keep the mastery buff for as long as possible especially in AOE. Also, sometimes you need to use scorch (or fireball when over 100% haste) to extend your feel the burn because fireblast doesnt come up until during the scorch cast.
Nice video, I think fire will be the next patch best spec. Frost in single target is super but AOE ... :(
What is PI? I googled it, looks like a buff from priest? Is it needed to be decent?

There's a talent that gives a mastery Buff the more uses of Phoenix Flame you have Up. Looks like the mastery Buff has more impact on damage output than gcd insta-casts during combust windows
This olaystyle death in 10.1 but tier set expose you to many uses phoenyx on rotstion
When you have more than 10s left on combustion (variable based on if you will get skb during it and add to the duration) you prioritize using scorch over phoenix flames to preserve the mastery buff from alexstrasza's fury. Also scorch lets you cast fireblast during the cast and then double pyro after it, which can help you extend your feel the burn if your fireblast comes up mid scorch cast.
My heart is broken but sustain damage from frost is not better than fire explosive damage :(

fire is non existant in keys lower than 21-22 stuff just dies too fast,also PI and also bro is like top 0.01% player
also he is playing with other great players who actually set up each other for success unlike your pug tank who aims cones at the group or people running away from you with thundering
