For which dungeons do you drop ray of frost? Does it also depend on the skill of your tank and the size of the pulls? I feel like speccing AoE with pugs doesn't work well because the pulls are too small.

Sounds like higher overall which would be all received by hitting the enemies that don't have the largest amount of health, cause the stuff that can't be CCed most likely has the highest hp.
@@NachosMitDip ai see so you can DPS the Prio target, but then when going to shatter a glacial switch to a freezable mob and AoE shatter it off that mob and then switch back to prio mob?
Unless I mess up, usually i target the unfreezable one because its the prio target and you guarantee your GS goes to a freezable target. Otherwise if you GS a freezable one it might split to the unfreezable one which you cant really control. If you target an unfreezable one you can easily just change your flurry usage to account for it.
Bigger pulls also means blizzard is gonna hit more often and bring back orb faster. Having a tank keep stuff stacked inside blizzard is the best way to get orb cd back super quick(aside from the cone reset talent). When stuff gets too spread out, or groups are too small then I’m not getting more than 2-3 orbs per pull. So much of our dps depends on the tanks ability keep things stacked and not continuously kite mobs out of aoe.

With season 4 my dps actually got stunted as frost. Glacial spike crits stopped increasing with ilvl. Wtf am I doing wrong 😭 it honestly feels like they secretly messed with mages stats this patch. Why would increasing my ilvl by 20 points have my glacial spike be critting for the exact same amount or less than in s3?? Wouldn’t the intellect gain alone cause an increase in the max crit amount? Destro locks are now pressing one button to top dps with rain of fire, and they’re acting like smug leet gamers about it. I’m over here casting my ass off and my damage isn’t really improving.
Played so nice again! Sadly i hate the frost-rework and this +be in melee+ range aoe shit. For me as an older player i don t like high APM specs (even frostm is kinda slower in St thou) So i play Aug atm in keys and its relaxing and still not bad for the group :)

No, its crit (till somewhere in the high 20s) > mastery > haste

Benchmarks for them dont exist, just the ratio of mastery > crit > haste

How are you getting so many frozen orb procs? I feel like mine is up maybe twice in a pull
Blizzard + cone of cold + shifting power all reset orb cd at varying degrees so sequencing them properly will help you cast a lot of orbs

i think fire might do better with the 4pc set
It was better overall last season, and fire is worse this season, so yes
It's not about who does more overall, fire mage is taken for mega prio dmg in high keys, which speeds up the key more than just doing more overall

I’ve gotten a bit worse use out of it so far, once I get more comfortable in the dungeons again/do higher keys I’ll likely swap back.
