I find that in my account and the first thing I'm doing is calling the bank. Companies always come looking for misplaced money. Even if its a lousy $20. And banks don't think twice about prosecuting people for enjoying the banks mistake anyway.
Eventually at end of year accounting, they would have caught on, but yeah. One nosy cashier brought it down much sooner than it would have. If that had been in the USA, at least in some states, that cashier would have been fired for posting a customers receipt.

If it takes months for a company to realize they made that big of a financial mistake, they should let the person keep a percentage.
