OMG I’m so excited you’re making the TS dress!! I want to make this for my sister who’s a giant fan!! I am working on the Island Time blanket from Ravelry. I got inspired by one of the projects that used the Marigold Cotton Cakes yarn so mine because I wanted a pride theme! It’s also nice because I don’t have to force the color changes, I just go with the flow! I could never do a temp blanket because I don’t have the patience for constructing blankets that way, props to those who do! And please share your new home, what a great accomplishment and you shouldn’t feel scare to share!! 🎉😊❤

I made a king size blanket for my son and daughter in-law! Took me 6 months to finish last year. HDC, front loop, back loop, 330 stitches and different color blocks. That was something else!
I love these videos! They are definitely a fun way to pass the time while I work on a project and not feel lonely! I am only about a year into crochet now, so it has been nice finding new friends with similar hobbies.
I am currently working on some crochet sugar cookie ornaments by Sass and Stitch for my very first market at the end of November!!
As far as gardening, I have never been able to keep things alive lol, my mother in law on the other hand has the best garden ever! They recently re-did their back yard and there are trees, bushes, flowers, fruits, and veggies everywhere! It is so nice to sit back there and crochet around the plants, and rabbits and birds always come to visit.
I love fruit!! My favorite ways to eat them recently have actually both come from tik-toks, one is frozen grapes! So refreshing! And the other is watermelon fries with a strawberry yogurt dip. You cut the watermelon into fry shapes, and then blend up some strawberries, vanilla yogurt, and sweetener of your choice, and then dip the watermelon fries into that and omg so good! Lastly, you should look into a company called "The Peach Truck"! They drive around and make multiple stops in every state all throughout the summer, and you can go and get 12lbs of peaches for like $45! They also do home delivery, and last forever!

loving this style of video! I need more crocheting friends! I just finished a swim cover romper last night! and am working on the 3rd of 8 blankets for my nieces, nephews, and my son! also, making a temperature blanket but I'm behind on it because the other blankets are more time sensitive!

First time commenter. Funny story. So. I was making a temp blanket. I started it here in Georgia, and my boyfriend and I started traveling. I crocheted on the road making special colors for new places and such. Six months in, in Jackson Hole Wisconsin, we break up, long story short. I threw it away, with all my yarn, because I couldn’t get it to fit for the plane. On a positive. I am working on my first true wearables, two different tank tops. The sweet lady on the flight home turned me on to this pattern and I am loving it !!! Congrats on your first home!!! ~ Michele

Dana, I know the Joann's yarn is a thing. I worked in Frederick Co MD and now I live in Washington CO by Hagerstown, MD. The Joann's by me is sooo much smaller! Then the one in Frederick. And like you Michael's is ok not the best when buying yarn.

Hey Dana, nice to see you today! I’m out here in California and the heat wave is unbearable! Suppose to be up to 110 this week. I stay indoors!
I’m making a temperature blanket for my son. It’s for the year of 1978 in San Francisco, where he was born. I’ve been working on it since Sept of 2023! I’m all the way up to October of ‘78’ now. Only 3 months left but would love to finish it by Christmas for his gift!

First off I’m making a small beach bag to fit a book and a sock project lol. But I’m so glad to see someone else who buys their yarns from Michaels and Joanns, I always get acrylic and sometimes cotton for like tank tops and things. Hand dyed yarns and lys are cool but expensive and I just can’t justify it lol but omfg our Joanns is packed with yarn so much big twist they have it in boxes up front and in other isles lol. Also I’m doing a small garden and I planted strawberries and cucumbers and the strawberry’s were growing and I was so excited because I loveeeee chocolate cover strawberries. Now they’re dead. But my cucumber plants are going strong so that’s nice so I’m happy I have something growing, but honestly I might do a bed of flowers next year. I’ve been getting flower envy seeing peoples flower gardens 😆

Hi There. I'm a gardener and have a beautiful veggie and flower garden at the moment; the best thing to do during very hot weather is to water twice at day, I do it early in the morning and again in the evenings after sunset.

Hi girl, kisses from Brazil, a tip for those who like gardening mainly fruits and vegetables are meliponias, they are some stingless bees that will help in the pollination of fruits and vegetables, especially strawberries, I do not know how the acquisition of stingless bees in your country works, here we do bait and they simply "sprout" in our gardens hehe, it is a very cool activity for those who have a garden at home, in addition to the fact that they produce a delicious honey 😋

Just found your channel, finding it amazing to listen to your vids while balling yarn. As for gardening, if you have a fairly dry area succulents are great as you give them a tiny bit of water every few months or whenever you remember (they are not fussy) and when you want more, pick a leaf off of one and stick it in the ground.

Oh girl, I FEEL you about the work life balance. I am building my crochet business as well, which means consistent content here on YT and IG and it is hard for me to take a break (don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love what I have been doing and I am extremely passionate about it) but I feel like that makes it even harder to take a break. I just wanna keep doing what I love!! I made myself pick up knitting as a way to continue to play with yarn without the stress of feeling like I need to be making content about it. If you’re wanting to make a temperature item, maybe try making a granny square for each month and turning it into a blanket or cardigan :)

That was fun! Sitting here with my morning, coffee working on my mindless blanket (a gift), thank you for the company🥰. I am also working on a beautiful evil eye granny, square cardigan for myself. My want to make wish list is just way too long lol, mostly garments, some home decor and amigarumi thrown in there. Don’t despair over your local yarn stores, just make it a fun trip every now and then to your favourite Joannes, etc. We live in a rural area and only shop in the city twice a month which makes it something to look forward to. I am so jealous of all the yarn shops that you have down south. Here where I live, I only have Michael’s & Walmart☹️. Shipping is astronomical here to Canada, so I rarely will order anything. RUclips will be your best friend as far as gardening goes. Have fun with it, there’s nothing like going out to your own garden and picking fresh food and putting it on your table💖

Such a great sweater! I love the colors. One of my fav things to make are cardi’s using scrap yarn. It’s even better if I have lots of each color in different shades! It’s fun to make dramatic gradient and ombré type patterns.

I grew up in rural northern WI so we took what we could get craft store wise 😂now I don't have a Joann close by so it's Michaels while I'm home, and Joann when I'm visiting my parents/shopping with my mom (they're only like an hour away so not too bad). I like them both just for different things since I do a lot of different crafts lol. Currently working on a baby blanket for my sister, a temperature blanket, a fun little flower tapestry, a temperature cross stitch, and an embroidery project! Main focus is that baby blanket so I can actually have it done before baby comes 😅

I live Martinsburg, West Virginia I understand what you’re saying about the Joanne fabrics I go to the one in Hagerstown and it’s terrible I recently went to Winchester Virginia to their Joannes and it was much better I would love to know the name of the shopping center of Joannes that you frequent in the city. I love DC. In fact, my husband and I were thinking of going there this weekend. I told him I’d like to go and see the monuments at dusk. Anyway, I find you so inspiring. I love your videos. Hiii! I just wanted to say I love your "chat with me" videos. I feel like I'm sitting on my couch (or yours) and hanging out with a crochet buddy. I don't have many irl and we don't get together often so this is nice. It's funny you should mention blankets because I literally just started one today. I've been crocheting for about a year and a half and finally decided to try a blanket. I'm making a granny square style blanket in like these dark, swamp witch, dark academia style colors - black, dark blue, dark green, dark purple, and medium shade grey. I envy you guys for every Joann, rural or not, we don’t have stores like that in the Netherlands. I have to buy my yarn online and that is so much less fun… we used to have yarn and fabric stores when I was young but they all disappeared. We do have 1 yarn store but they have very high quality wool yarns and those are great but not in my budget.

Garden advice! The cucumbers you showed were left on the vine for too long, so they may be a bit bitter. Pull them much sooner before they get white/yellow and so big around. Those are probably pickling cucumbers and meant to stay small. Good luck!!!

OMG! Looking at you crochet without looking... it's like my typing on the computer without looking at the keyboard, I guess but I can't believe it. I am making something extremlly simply and to be fair I am not a seasoned crocheter, I started consistently not long ago, but still I have to look at my yarn all the time?? lol I hope one day I get to be like that, I'd be watching the TV or something and would end up with something done? lol. Right now I can only listen to something and crochet. I love you and your vibes, very comforting.
Also (I am replying as I watch)... bragging?? Who would think it's bragging? If anyone does, they are just jealous and can't be happy for people.
Have you thought about a livestream? With the move and everything, maybe you enjoy editing and that's cool, but it would save you time and we would be able to all connect in real time (or watch it later, I watch a ton of livestreams later), I don't know how comfortable you'd be with that, but it could be a whole community meeting kind of thing
