You don't need to take out the Allen key bolts at all just loosen the preloaded and push metal plate away from housing at bottom and lift and slide off and back on.

Yeh some can do that and some don’t seem to. Mine seems to be pressed in really tight so I just do it the other way.

There is an easier way to do this. You can replace the elastomers without using any tools by going through the bottom. The plate in the bottom with the hole can be removed. All you need to do is remove the pre-load.

Right @Melv, this... via the plate. How are they? The 80 shore looks like the right stiffness, I'm guessing. Have you also tried combining it with a 70, perhaps for a softer initial throw?

i have done another video with some 80a also - but i think they are a lot stiffer than the standard 70 - i suspect the standard are a little less than 70 really. I will order 70 in the new material and test in a week or so

do you mind explaining how? having just tried this (without referring to a guide, cuz who needs a tutorial) that little plate is well and truly stuck in there

Great video mate! Would you mind on sharing the link or the specs of the elastomer you bought? Thanks!

For best info join the FB group if possible - details are in there. I think for this material, the elastomers are too hard. Needs more testing - facebook.com/groups/993613495155299

is the extra hydraulic worth having? does it make a difference?

I haven't tried without - for the small extra cost its not worth not getting them
