We need a proper #10. Odegaad can do the job of a ten just fine and he's our only option right now, but he's not excellent at it. He's more like a supporting actor, while we need an Oscar-winning lead actor who owns the show by himself. But Arteta made him the captain, it's gonna be very difficult to replace him. I'm optimistic about this transfer. We can see how good our team was last season when we played Rice as DM, with Jorgihno helping him to move the ball forward. Rice is such a good bodyguard to make up for the lack of mobility from Zubimendi. Partey basically does the job of both Rice and Jorgihno. I don't see us replacing him. I think the mf will be Zubimendi, Rice and Odegaard, but with Zubimendi as the dictating 6, Rice as the box to box 8 (or left 8) and Odegaard as the 8/10. Not convinced about Rice's ability to play the 8 tho, think he is better deeper. But then its an issue where you have Rice and Zubimendi both competing for the 6 position, of which I think teta will pick zubimendi as his starting 6. Basically I think instead of Odegaard being the redundant one, it would more likely be Rice Thoughts? Edit: Just look at where he plays for RS, always in that mf base just in front of the defence.

Aren’t you guys over complicating it all? Could Zubi not play left 8 to complement Odegaard’s right 8 and create the same attacking dynamic on the left with MLS or Cala / Zini /Martinelli as we currently have on the right with MO / Saka / Ben White…? That would make us unplayable methinks…
I think it's going to depend on the game. In some games, Rice-Merino-Odegaard. Duel winning, with box crashing and Odegaard to balance: dictate the final third tempo and perhaps play the pre-assist. In some games, Zubimendi-Rice-Nwaneri (Fabio Vieira is also a shout, and could Odegaard maybe become more of a true #10?). Rice being more of a box-crashing, ball-carrying midfielder. Nwaneri being a true #10, and Zubimendi dictating as a deep-lying playmaker. For me, this Zubimendi-Odegaard conflict doesn't add up, which makes me excited; it means there's something we don't know. Could Odegaard be displaying #10 qualities in training that we've never seen? Is Zubimendi part of Arteta's long-term 3-4-3 diamond? How can Zubimendi and Odegaard possibly play together? Does Arteta feel a greater urgency to maximize Martinelli? So many questions, so little answers, but that excites me. I can see a more advanced Odegaard, Havertz, Zubimendi, and Rice midfield diamond working in certain game states, whereas in others we will need to do something else with Timber/Calafiori/MLS. I mean, just look at the options and the quality of each option. I guarentee you, there is something we don't know. A floor-raising signing who future-proofs our midfield to an extent. Complements Rice, intelligent player, long-term target. Love it, we get this sorted (as much as we can) and move swiftly onto a forward signing in January.
what sport is Arsenal playing where they need every player to win every duel they engage in? The best teams in the world have players who won't win every duel but the manager has created a good enough system that you're not worried about one player only winning 6/7 duels out of 10.
Its really funny to see the english people cover up for Rice. Even funnier, these mugs keep putting Rice is the same bracket as Saka, Saliba, Odegaard. 😂😂. Its not all arsenal fans. Only ENGLISH MUGS
Areta a lunatic? guy complains about lack of investment in forward line. next Minute spends yet another large sum in the 57th defensive minded player. A quest to play World most boring football...this means artetas long term plan is the same type midfield combination we have now except with a less progressive less athletic version of Partey at 6...while still having a left 8 in rice that doesnt add enough creativity..and we already see that is nowhere near enough creative enough..now imagine and even less creative version of that...im sure they will say order of signins doesnt matter...that we might still sign forwards...thats what they said the last two summers as we kept buying defensive players and no attacking player was in sight
I'll tell you how we'll line up. Raya (Wouldn't suprise me if we replaced him for Costa at some point) White Saliba,Gabriel, Timber Rice Odegaard Zubimendi Saka Williams Vlahovic/Sesko (I think, given the current situation, we'll get Vlahovic with an loan with obligations) Our second team will look like this, because, Arteta has constantly mentioned needing 2 full teams to compete and, I second this because, it's how i've played FM and won over 100 trophies in every single save. Ray/.new GK in summer ( If we signed Costa) Tomiyasu, Arujo (Currently linked), Calafiori, MLS Merino Havertz Ethan New RW Martinelli New ST I think the outgoings in the summer will shock most. Trossard, Partey, Jorginhio, Tierney, Zinnyy , Kiwior, Viera will all be gone. Arsenal will sign Vlahovic in this window, along with Nico Williams. In the next window, it'll be Sesko (Vlaho wont prevent that from happening) Zubi, a new RW and a new GK. EDIT:If Arteta persists on using Ethan at RW, we'll bring in a new CAM/CM, looking like Pellegrini but would prefer someone younger. All in all, we'll spend another £200-£250m, save a near £1m on wages a month and make close to £80m. Trossard- £20m, Zinny- £20m, Kiwior-£30m, Viera-£25m. Easy to do. Bring in Olabe as our DOF and get it done. No more faffing about with a project. I don't want Rosicky or any other PR person. Bring in a legitimate, real DOF.
Good analysis but its frustrating how George is so sure about every statement he makes. "We know Partey is leaving" when he's been our best midfielder this season, "Signing another LB like Davies" when we have Calafiori and MLS with Timber as backup. Calafiori overlaps as well. "Timber becomes redundant" when he overlaps too. Be a bit more open-ended in your statements like Alex.
Just for argument sake, after watching the tactical board stuff,it makes me question what does Zubimendi have over Ödegaard as a left 8? Öde can do all those passes and he is already here wont cost any money,I worry Arteta gonna try to platform the Norwegian as a real number 10 and thats not him,he isnt a final third creator, plus the overlapping Fb idea, seems ironic that we giving away KT when we about to need a player just like him
Rice is not a top shelf 6 compare him to Tchoumeni, Rodi, Partey ( who your show often denigrates), Casado or many other 6s in the world. Rice is a typical English 6 less control more running. I remember folks in England comparing Lamar’s and Geraard to Modric, Kru, Iniesta and Xavi the rest of the world was wondering what you were looking at. Not that England has not had top players like Rooney and Matt Letisier and Hoddle who would have been starters for teams like Brazil, Germany, Italy but were never rated in England.
Yeah have that feeling too... zubimemdi is just a shorter version of Xhaka... break up play and set up moves. Think as of today's date 14/1... Zubi has like 18 games 1 goal 1 assist.
If you say that he’s ’young Jorginho’ then I fail to see the problem for Ødegaard. Ødegaard dovetailed nicely with J last season. What it looks like you’re doing is shoehorning Rice into an area where MØ plays. No thanks. And why the lack of love for White?
Nothing has changed since last season. Rice is still a monster in the 6 - Arteta has been playing him as an 8 this season, hence the drop-off in performance
Very good player but also very boring player... I recall you were calling for a dynamic 8 mister cannon podcast (sorry mate i don't know your name haha) but it seems that Arteta will prefer the Rice option ㅜㅜ
Imagine signing a 60 something million player who is yet another player that can only play some games...I fucking hate Artetas player profile preference...he seems to love players where you need the hipster takes "you need to pay attention or you wont see his value"...how about sign 1 fucking player we dont have to squint or do mental gymnastics to see their value...just 1 please
I hate the signing. Like genuinely hate it. I don’t hate the player, but I hate what the transfer means. Either rice is lcm, or if it’s a double pivot it will force Ø to be even more of a central figure for our central progression in turnovers etc. Something he is terrible at. I am gutted with signing. Sure if we need to replace a metronome that we will lose in Jorginho and Zinny, then it’s a profile we need to replace probably, but €60m ??? Hell no
I like him, I don't really understand how he fits into the team tho. I think Rice is way better as a 6 than as an 8 and taking into account the fact the one of the fullbacks tends to go into the middle, this makes no sense. Can someone explain? Why have Merino or Rice as attacking midfielders with Odegaard, instead of having an actual attacking midfielder?
Rice Rice Rice.. 105 million fridge ... Cannot hide anymore.. zero turn, zero 1 2 football, poor touch, poor passing, always back and side, shite on the ball, shots outside box non existent, creates zero. There is a reason he is not a starter. You are right in one part. Declan Rice is on the level lower than Jordan Henderson.
3.40 did George say he is a player that will kill you with a death by a thousand passes, not more passes please the team is killing us at the moment with passes and no end result ! The fans definitely will die as well if we pass the ball any more without end result lol
It’s about quicker and more intent behind the passes, not the number. Don’t let the quote confuse. We do need a thousand more quicker and daring passes.
I'm not that excited for Rice Zubi Ode midfield that much to be honest. It will do well because they all good players but just feels like temporary solution again and not optimising their roles individually. Except for 22/23 season, balance in midfield under Arteta is very questionable
Most teams we want to compete with have dribbler/problem solver centrally in the 8/10 position. Think ultimately we will need to find this on the market, unless Ethan is that superstar in the 10 we need already
@ I acc completely agree. I think the issue is Rice honestly. 105 mil means he has to start and I just don’t think Arteta will ever play two 10s at the same time.

Why do you think Ode cant play 10? I think he could play really well there. His final ball isnt always there across the full length of the pitch but he does it with Saka all the time. This just ensures he can do it across the entire final third. Works in my mind
Players like him but younger don't exist.
The understanding between Zubi and Merino at Real Sociedad was like a psychic connection. How much do you reckon Merino influenced Zubi move?
Arteta’s playing football Monopoly and he’s got just one more ex txuri-urdin to collect
Another attacker injured, let's sign a DM wooooo !!!! DOOOOOEEEEEELS!
In what world does this affect our january business? 😂
GK LB DM third summer in a row,smh
@@Callumh1113in the same World it did last two summers when we kept signing defensive players and people said order of signins doesnt matter...in the same World Arteta keeps blaming limited resources for lack of forward line Investments and then spends those limited resources always of defensive minded players only
@@adventurerwannabe Buddy, Jorginhio and Partey are leaving in the summer. Infact, Jorginhio may be gone in a week. Zubi is the best in his position. We need to prepare and plan ahead. Regardless of what fans say, this is incredible, smart business.

Jorginho out - Zubimendi IN
Partey out - Reijnders IN
Trossard out - Kudus IN
Sterling out - Barcola/Leao/Raphona IN
Isak/Gyokeres/Osihmen/Vlahovic IN
Options are there to take this team forward
Just a small 300 million pounds minimum you’ve just suggested
Getting another creative player will make it imperative we buy in a proper certified Finisher / Striker
This is so frustrating. We *need* a striker and/or a wide attacker right now but drops this story and the agenda is about a 6 in the summer
Timing very convenient
The "Bayern submit 75 million offer for Martin Ødegaard" news in the summer is gonna hit like crack!! 😭❤️
cant wait for odegaard to leave
@@jshshsshshsjBecause he got injured and isnt in shape yet? Potentially one of our very best players but whatever. Strikers should have the memory of a goldfish, not fans.😂
Is this the new player the fans are picking on?
@@jaywalker2083 oh no my friend. I have been wanting to move on from Ødegaard for over 2 yrs now.
Move on from the only creator of midfield? Nice 👍🏻
Alex you tried justifying merino by saying he was a rewatch player and he’s quite clearly to heavy footed and slow on the ball to be effective in the prem and you are already sauing the same with Zubi. It’s copium, we need players that are quite clearly game running, elite players that you don’t need to watch 15 highlights to see what 2 good things they do
rewatch player😂thats funny
3-4-3 diamond maybe with Rice, Zubi and Ode? Havertz as the Raumdeuter behind a new striker.
I feel out fullbacks are too elite to not play a 4 at the back tbh
@@Mbati-r1xwe always have half of them out injured though
@@Mbati-r1x most of the full backs can also play LCB or RCB. Tierney, Kiwior and Zinchenko will be gone. So you could play LCB/CCB/RCB with Califiori, Saliba, Gabriel, White, Timber, Tomi (if he stays).
Zubi gives me Xhaka vibes, really hope he's willing and able to thread the ball to Nelli
I think George has mentioned Davies in all the videos 😂
Alex have you studied amadu Haidara in Leipzig for partey
at least we're linked with dusan n victor
out muscled europe, what a funny statement, while arsenal are being outsmarted by their rivals and their rival's managers
Our new lb
I think the mf will be Zubimendi, Rice and Odegaard, but with Zubimendi as the dictating 6, Rice as the box to box 8 (or left 8) and Odegaard as the 8/10.
Not convinced about Rice's ability to play the 8 tho, think he is better deeper. But then its an issue where you have Rice and Zubimendi both competing for the 6 position, of which I think teta will pick zubimendi as his starting 6.
Basically I think instead of Odegaard being the redundant one, it would more likely be Rice
Thoughts?
Edit: Just look at where he plays for RS, always in that mf base just in front of the defence.
Zubizubiduuuu where are you nanaanaanaanananaaa...😂😂
Yeah man. Liverpool is alive and well in all competitions but we have the zubizubidu joke. Great

what do we think to Ait-Nouri LB signing? I think he is class from an offensive POV and out of contract in 18months so would be pretty cheap...
Arteta will not rest until he buys tye entire spain midfield 😮
Aren’t you guys over complicating it all?
Could Zubi not play left 8 to complement Odegaard’s right 8 and create the same attacking dynamic on the left with MLS or Cala / Zini /Martinelli as we currently have on the right with MO / Saka / Ben White…?
That would make us unplayable methinks…
Exactly. He can just be Xhaka…because neither Rice nor Merino nor Havertz has managed it. Then we just need a TP replacement.
He's a 6. He can playmake from deep but for the most part he plays as a 6
He a 6 not an 8
No he’s a DLP, rice with stay in the left. Xhaka’s final season he played box to box, not a DLP at all.
Jorrel Hato LB 2025, sell Kiwiour and hopefully have Ayden Heaven as a back-up, also Sesko needs to be this window
na we dont need more lbs
@@jshshsshshsj I also meant if zinchenko goes to dortmund, i probably should've mentioned that part
Literally any team can hijack this deal. They will ruin the relationship with Arsenal for the right price.
We need a LW, ST and RW
We not getting that all at once maybe a lw and st now
Guys, we are winning the league this year..!! 😃
According to Roberto Ramajo, a spanish journalist, the rumor about Zubimendi ain't true. Let us wait till he puts pen to paper.
I pray he is right
Pathetic title. Desperation settings

Indeed...they force positvity so hard...its cringe as fuck
Then you lot shouldn't watch, its that simple
Its really funny to see the english people cover up for Rice. Even funnier, these mugs keep putting Rice is the same bracket as Saka, Saliba, Odegaard. 😂😂. Its not all arsenal fans. Only ENGLISH MUGS
Rice is really good though. Definitely the English overhype him but he's a close 2nd in terms of our best midfielders
@@simba3610 he’s behind Ødegaard and Partey. Not sure he’s much better than Merino in the L8. But better than Jorginho, I’ll give you that.
Next Jan signings - another DM and another defender.
Areta a lunatic? guy complains about lack of investment in forward line. next Minute spends yet another large sum in the 57th defensive minded player. A quest to play World most boring football...this means artetas long term plan is the same type midfield combination we have now except with a less progressive less athletic version of Partey at 6...while still having a left 8 in rice that doesnt add enough creativity..and we already see that is nowhere near enough creative enough..now imagine and even less creative version of that...im sure they will say order of signins doesnt matter...that we might still sign forwards...thats what they said the last two summers as we kept buying defensive players and no attacking player was in sight
why cant this overlapping left back be tirney? arteta confirmed that tirney is in his plans, no?
We better sign Isak too 😅
I'll tell you how we'll line up.
Raya (Wouldn't suprise me if we replaced him for Costa at some point)
White Saliba,Gabriel, Timber
Rice
Odegaard Zubimendi
Saka Williams
Vlahovic/Sesko (I think, given the current situation, we'll get Vlahovic with an loan with obligations)
Our second team will look like this, because, Arteta has constantly mentioned needing 2 full teams to compete and, I second this because, it's how i've played FM and won over 100 trophies in every single save.
Ray/.new GK in summer ( If we signed Costa)
Tomiyasu, Arujo (Currently linked), Calafiori, MLS
Merino
Havertz Ethan
New RW Martinelli
New ST
I think the outgoings in the summer will shock most.
60 m for just upgrade to Jorginho? Well done guys spend the money everything unless attackers.
Arteta literally said:
Fogg Xhaka
Marry Rice
Kill Ødegaard
I'm over the moon 🎉🎉
Should MLS be developed as an 8 rather than a LB ?
Just for argument sake, after watching the tactical board stuff,it makes me question what does Zubimendi have over Ödegaard as a left 8? Öde can do all those passes and he is already here wont cost any money,I worry Arteta gonna try to platform the Norwegian as a real number 10 and thats not him,he isnt a final third creator, plus the overlapping Fb idea, seems ironic that we giving away KT when we about to need a player just like him
Zubimendi has never played as a left 8 before he can only play as a 6 with a physical left 8 beside him like Merino or Rice
Did not beat anymore to get him
Why the heck does Arsenal need another def mid?
Is this guy for real? Half the stuff this George guy says is just waffle that makes no sense, I swear your just making stuff up as you go.
Yeah have that feeling too... zubimemdi is just a shorter version of Xhaka... break up play and set up moves. Think as of today's date 14/1... Zubi has like 18 games 1 goal 1 assist.
Can you give an example?

If you say that he’s ’young Jorginho’ then I fail to see the problem for Ødegaard. Ødegaard dovetailed nicely with J last season.
What it looks like you’re doing is shoehorning Rice into an area where MØ plays. No thanks.
And why the lack of love for White?
Uncomfortable conversation on Rice imminent
Facts
Rice is fine, the conversations will be with Ødegaard
Why? Have u people forgotten last season?😂 he was a monster. He had a bad spell this season and that was weeks ago
Nope rice zubi double pivot frees rice up to do loads more than just sit hrs a box to box athlete
Nothing has changed since last season. Rice is still a monster in the 6 - Arteta has been playing him as an 8 this season, hence the drop-off in performance
Havertz false 9 new center forward?
Very good player but also very boring player... I recall you were calling for a dynamic 8 mister cannon podcast (sorry mate i don't know your name haha) but it seems that Arteta will prefer the Rice option ㅜㅜ
Pigeon boys
Imagine signing a 60 something million player who is yet another player that can only play some games...I fucking hate Artetas player profile preference...he seems to love players where you need the hipster takes "you need to pay attention or you wont see his value"...how about sign 1 fucking player we dont have to squint or do mental gymnastics to see their value...just 1 please
People complaining about this over an attacker when the rapist and Jorginho are gone in the summer, you want us to just have 1 DM in Rice?
There is also merino
@@YRS24merino isn’t a DM he’s a 8
I hate the signing. Hell no
This is all awesome but I fear Arteta will just choose the most befuddling boring approach. Too scarred
The end goal is a 343 diamond, Ødegaard will be fine. Trust me 😉
You can't deceive us with this tactical crap. You did same with Merino and look how that turned out
Next move reeks of Alberto Moleiro or Alex Baena.
Then Zaire-Emery. Or Nypan. I'm excited.
Torreira V2
For me this move is telling me Saka and ode, ethan, veira and downman eventually will be all rotating the right wing and 10 next season
Zubimendi is Arteta 2.
Thats the main problem
I like him, I don't really understand how he fits into the team tho. I think Rice is way better as a 6 than as an 8 and taking into account the fact the one of the fullbacks tends to go into the middle, this makes no sense. Can someone explain? Why have Merino or Rice as attacking midfielders with Odegaard, instead of having an actual attacking midfielder?
Rice is a terrible 6 in a good team.
Nah. We still got him half price. Just need to use his strenghts.
@@HarmvanderWilt his strengths are running around a lot for West Ham or playing as a ball carrying centre back. Back to goal he is pants.
What midfield would you like?
Partey j2 and odgarrd he like
Most teams we want to compete with have dribbler/problem solver centrally in the 8/10 position. Think ultimately we will need to find this on the market, unless Ethan is that superstar in the 10 we need already
@ I acc completely agree. I think the issue is Rice honestly. 105 mil means he has to start and I just don’t think Arteta will ever play two 10s at the same time.
This is not a confirmed signing. The man is currently injured and he h😂😂as a history of not going where he is rumored to go. Yet these tools are gassing it as if we have done something. The club leaked this nonsense to try to change the narrative and you influencers couldn't wait to help. Spreading unfounded rumors.😂

Let's hype the fans up for next year and write this season off mean while everybody else already strengthened had our chance last 2 seasons and blew it. 👏🏻
Rubbish. If we get some quality attackers in this team we will continue to be brilliant and Zubimendi is a massive upgrade to our midfield. He will get the best out of Merino and vice versa. Excellent business.
Do we need forward short term? Yes. Does that mean we cant be excited about signing one of the best prospects in his position for the long term?
"Out-muscled" 😂
Sign attackers
“OUT-MUSCLED”
So predictable, moving away from the issue that’s staring us clean in the face 😂 I suppose it’s better than talking about strikers that we won’t be signing this month. It’s just difficult to be positive when the club is rotting from top to bottom.
