    I won't let the urgency of signing a striker this window stop my excitement for this player. Good to see us being proactive. Seems like we're getting a good mix of Partey and Jorginho in Zubimendi which is great with at least one of them leaving.
    BTW for context we do have someone internally who's taken on Edu's job for the time being, but Arteta again as he usually does has gotten in the room with a player and convinced them to join our club over very attractive rivals. Love to see it 💪

    A lot of copium in the comments from bitter Liverpool fans puzzled why he chose Arsenal, let me break it down for you.
    Caicedo, Lavia, Tchouaméni, Bellingham, Zubimendi all can't be wrong, You just haven't got the pull your deluded fan base thinks it does. Martin Zubimendi probably thought his style of play suited Arsenal more and between Arne Slot and his Basque region companion Mikel Arteta, he simply chose his fellow spaniard. Stop crying about it and make sure you don't epically bottle the league for the second consecutive year, remember you lot were 11 clear at some point in late November and that gap will come down to 4 after Arsenal beat Spurs at The Emirates on wednesday night. Buckle up

      Obvious upgrade to jorginho, yes. To partey, not so obvious. Partey has been our best midfielder since he joined. Only Rodri in the PL has been a better 6 imo. Yes he's getting on a bit now, but still been our best midfielder this season once again.
      It's the right time to switch to Zubi though.

    If arsenal manage to sign a great striker and left winger we are definitely looking at a team that has the potential to alot of trophies! Havertz in the striker position is not good enough at all when it comes to finishing, and his confidence is way too fragile. When Havertz has a couple of bad games in a row his confidence hits rock bottom and he keep playing bad, most other players can bounce back and regain /not lose their confidence like that, but this guys confidence is way too fragile and fleeting to trust longterm! And Martinelli on the left is bang average, honestly i see him in a 10-15 place club! Get in someone like Isak/Gyokeres/Vlahovic and Kvaratskhelia/Leao/Lookman/Gordon on the left and this arsenal team will be set for success!

    I think the meltdown in Arsenal base right now is purely based on result with Manchester United. All of us see that this season is not really going well for us: bad summer window, injuries, players fatiqued after two lost title races. We all knew that FA cup and Carabo cup could be something to hold on if we end up with slightly worst season. But Arteta made a lot of good decions during his years and it would be real shame to scratch it right now and start all over again. There could be some title winners in first seasons like Mourinho, Conte and maybe Slot? But the right aproach is going to be always buy and sell players proactively and not as a reaction when season go bad.

  • @domenicgalata1470
    @domenicgalata1470 11 дней назад

    Of the 3 players I think would make Arsenal a title winning side, Zubimendi was one. The others being Kvaratskhelia and Sesko or Gyokeres. I still hold out hope for the others but it seems unlikely.

    Didn't Zubimendi just reject Liverpool last summer, saying he decided he wanted to stay at Sociedad forever? Guess that was just bs, and it seemingly indicates, oddly enough, Arsenal's pull vs Liverpool. Neutral here btw.

      Nah,real are shit which is why he’s leaving and it’s a transfer next season. Liverpool wanted him this season and he wanted to give another year to real. Liverpool haven’t gone back in for him as why would you want someone who doesn’t know what they want! He also rejected Arsenal when they first went for him. Good signing though just odd signing when a striker and a winger should be top priority.

    A lot of misinformation & waffle in this vid:
    - You can find reports from August clearly stating Arteta asked Zubimendi to sit tight till next summer. It's not a case of everybody else went home & Arsenal went in.
    - Arsenal's position itl is because of injuries & Referees deciding that Rice tapping the ball, Trossard kicking it within 0.1 seconds & a head clash needs to be treated differently than other teams. This is without mentioning Saliba's red compared to Tosin and VDV and Ref blowing the whistle randomly when Arsenal were about to score against Liverpool.
    - Zubimendi is an Ødegaard replacement.
