I use to work at cedar point and the amount of detail is amazing the the coaster placement is very accurate! This is an OUTSTANDING ReCREATION, The best by far!
Totally accurate from my memory right down to the cue lines. I had season passes for years and this is taking me right back. Even the placement of the ride cameras is correct. The only errors I could spot were gatekeeper rolling over the wrong way on first drop.
As someone who visits cedar point a few times per year, this is as accurate as accurate gets!!! Of course nothing beats Steel Vengeance... but all of the coasters compliment the park in some way!
I still liked the original Mean Streak better since that was when I rode it nearly 10 years ago before its transformation. Again, I didn't ride the new version but I have heard about its updates, new articles on phones flinging from people's pockets. Not to mention this has barrel rolls or side rolls compared to Mean Streak which was mostly flat and didn't have to worry about items flinging out of your pockets. Again, Mean streak I rode the original, to me it may have been bumpy but it wasn't that bad looking back at it now. But I think Blue Streak has the tightest seats in the entire park. I would love to see that coaster get new trains that have wider seats so this way we don't feel squished when sitting on one side or another. And the lap bars don't help either. But hey, it's a classic that's been going now for 50+ years so, can't change what originally was there, unless if it's trying to attract more people into the park that is.
@@ExtremeReviewer101 The Mean Streak used to be my favorite ride. But even I have to admit that it was really rough those last few years and barely ran. I’m glad The Steel Vengeance took its place. It kept some of the general shape and the lift hill is very similar. I don’t think they could have built something better or more respectful to The Mean Streak than The Steel Vengeance.
Steel vengeance is my favorite part of the video and my favorite coaster... I don't know if I will love another coaster as much but we will see with Orion coming

14:55 Cedar Downs is actually a "thrill carousel" and one of the most popular old-school rides in the park, featuring horse rides up to 25 miles per hour. It was originally built in 1921 and the ride and its horses have been restored multiple times throughout the century. It is also considered a National Historic Landmark within the park and Ohio. I've been riding this for over 30 years, since I was a child, and it is one of the best flat rides, not only in the park, but one of the most unique flat rides in the world.

@@averagejoe6031 I think the reason why he said shithole Ohio is due to the politics and the government within Ohio. Much like what New Jersey and New York have become, Ohio somewhat tends to follow in their footsteps with how they want to do the laws and control of the individuals living in Ohio. Wow...simply amazing. I've not been back to Cedar Point since 2011 (Florida resident), but it is by far my favorite park (Busch Gardens Tampa close second). Definitely captured the layout and feel of every section. Obviously, I have not yet had a chance to ride Steel Vengeance, Maverick, or Gatekeeper, but from what I've seen of POV videos, excellent work! The only things I noticed that did not match up were the first drop on Gatekeeper, which many have already pointed out, and I'm pretty certain there are four towers on the Power Tower, not three. Other than that, this brings back great memories. Kudos to Pitzony for the amazing work and to Jonny5 for bringing us the goods!
Also, The iron dragon is more like a 3. There are some parts that are fast, has a little drop... but over all it's more of a "I want to ride another ride but also just let myself breath" for a minute ride. LOL I find it relaxing actually. Raptor is 5 for sure. I start my trips out with the raptor every single time. It's a good solid starter coaster. It's amazing, but it isn't scary. Just a all around fun ride to ride.
Ohioan here, this is insane. Almost perfect. It's so frustrating trying to just take INSPIRATION from Cedar Point when playing Planet Coaster and getting nowhere. Then this guy just wipes the floor. Crazy.
This is amazing! I love it. I am a platinum pass holder at Cedar Point and I know the park very well and I would have to say that you are pretty accurate. Except that the Red Baron doesn't exist. I do see a few differences in this version of the park but it's still pretty awsome. Good job!
this is ridiculously amazing. As someone who grew up in the park and has had a season pass the last two years (and this year for all the good that is. Thanks Covid) this park is almost 100% spot on. The gift shops, the buildings, the main rides. All VERY much accurate. Bravo!!! My favorite coasters here, IRL: 1. Steel Vengeance. You can not even IMAGINE the intensity. It's air time from start to finish. the first time I road it I came off saying "It's like riding a wild mustang, sometimes upside down. 2. Millennium Force. Intense. Fast. Amazing. 3. Maverick: Intense. Wild. 4. Top Thrill. Short but sweet. An adrenaline rush! If you haven't been to Cedar Point it's a MUST for coaster lovers. Every coaster at CP was, as one time, a world record breaker.
I've been there and my top 5 is: 5. Raptor 4. Millenium Force 3. Top Thrill Dragster 2. Maverick 1. Steel Vengeance (Number 6 would probably be magnum xl 200)
To someone who's been there hundreds of times...this is incredibly accurate. I am astounded that even at the shop level everything is as accurate as can be. Wow. The sheer amount of time this must have taken absolutely levels me.
First time I went to Cedar Point I went on Dragster, first coaster I ever went on, no problems. It was awesome. Went to Millennium later the same day -- absolutely terrified and closed my eyes the whole time. Now? Defs my favorite at the park.
I'm a former season passholder at Cedar Point. It really is the best amusement park in the world in my opinion. This recreation is so good that I honestly forgot I was looking at a recreation a couple of times... despite the obvious game graphics.
It’s interesting to watch someone who hasn’t been to the park take a self guided tour through a recreation. You definitely have to experience the real thing. You will not regret that trip, I promise you.
Gotta say, Cedar Point is the absolute best theme park I have ever been to in my entire life. I love that place with all my heart and I wish to go back some day once I can afford it again
I never worked there, but had friend that had family who lived in Sandusky, and we had free tickets all the time. I heard back then, and even recently that the Raptor is one of the best coasters to work at. Is that true?
Having been to cedar point MULTIPLE times in my life and love every single coaster at the park, it makes me very happy to see someone put the time and effort to make this master piece of a recreation!!!
Johnny, when you ascend the cable lift hill on Millenium force, you'll actually look straight ahead and slightly to the left across Lake Erie, where you may be able to glimpse Ontario!
@@270crazyguy You're correct. I forgot which way Millenium's lift hill runs - was thinking of Magnum, where looking slightly left you can see Point Pelee, ON.
Whoever spent the time doing this, WOW! I worked at Cedar Point, and was on the Raptor crew 1999. The level of detail in the switchbacks for the que are pretty close.
Incredible! Especially considering the game limitations, this might be the best CP recreation I've seen in any RCT/PC type game. In real life, Cedar Point is very long and narrow (it's just over a mile from the front entrance to the entrance of Steel Vengeance)
This is absolutely spot on! Amazing! I live and grew up 45 min east of Cedar Point. Had season passes every year. This park is so spot on, it's mind blowing. The amount of work and detail out in to this is stunning. Bravo to everyone involved in making it!
Big props to the person who made this park! As someone who has attempted a park re-creation in Planet Coaster, and knows how hard it is to make it look like the real thing... you did an amazing job! I didn’t know you could win in sandbox mode but I’m pretty sure you just did with this park... congrats! And Jonny... as a Patreon member for the past year or so, I’m feeling a little discouraged about not being able to get a park or even coaster spotlight because you got so many hoops to jump through in order to submit a creation! Just some honest feedback, keep up the good work. ... and for fuck sake, please take some of that Patreon money and go ride some of these coasters in real life! It breaks my heart every time I hear you talk about some of these award winning rides that you’ve never been on.
@13R^D Mantis was awesome! Those first couple seasons it ran wide open and your legs were like rubber when you got off the ride. The trick to not hurting your self was to bend your knees slightly so when the seat locked in and you stood up you had a few inches between the seat and your manly-ness.
Cedar point is very close to me so naturally I've been there many times, I've been wanting to do this on planco for a long time but never got around to it. Hands down as accurate as you can get. A lot of nostalgia in this video personally. Hats off to the creator!
I live about 40min away from cedar point and this is a GREAT recreation of the park. When you go there channel5 gaming , you will see more water than what was shown including (maybe) a new water (river boat) ride.
The synchronization of these rides with the POV in the corner is incredible! I’m so glad you overlayed those videos because it really highlights the accuracy. Obviously there were discrepancies, but after seeing the side-by-side it wouldn’t be too hard for Pitzony to fix those issues. I’ve never been to CP but this video makes me so excited to go someday! Also the cat comments made me laugh so hard. 😂 Thanks for the awesome videos.
*sees the shooting gallery in Planet Coaster* Ah, the good old days when Theme Park Shooting Galleries had actual firearms (with blanks, of course). Now, it''s simulated firearms like Disneyland does at their Frontierland Shooting Gallery. Edit: Also, the only thing the author got wrong with Gate Keeper is that the half-roll into the first drop was to the left, rather than to the right as it was irl.
The accuracy, even with map limitations, is nothing short of impeccable. Everything is _exactly_ what and where it should be, though the hard map boundaries are kind of jarring.
So I was a performer in the “Rockin the Point” show at the front theatre of the park, though I did that show in 2011 I believe and it only ran the year before that. Very curious why that show was chosen for the marquee. Very cool. Got giddy when I saw that 🤘
I have been at Cedar Point about a dozen times throughout my life and this is incredibly accurate, it is so awesome to see all these amazing coasters that I have loved throughout my life, well done.
OMG! My favorite theme park! YES! Seemingly more intense than Millennium Force. Anyway, I couldn't find the entrance to the Top Thrill Dragster so lucky me but my father and cousin went on it while my bro and I skipped it.
Been visiting CP twice per year for a long time (I live in Toronto, about a 6-hour drive away). I'm very familiar with the park, and I'm impressed with the quality of this build. Well done to the creator!
The Gate keeper is amazing. Totally smooth, non-jarring. Scared to death waiting, but awesome once we got going. The Blue Streak is an old favorite of mine. Lots of good air time! I rode Millennium Force. We got to the top off that first hill. My boyfriend said, "Wow, I can see the whole park from here!" To which I said, "I can see my HOUSE from here!" We first went to CP in 1980, when I was 10. The Cedar Creek mine ride was my first roller coaster! Their ad logo was "The Amazement Park!" And if you are a coaster fanatic, CP will blow your mind! Gemini used to be my favorite, but I got bruised the last time I rode it. (Gads, I'm getting old.) GREAT job to the creator!!

Do you not visit any other parks? lol. So many other great parks. I know its hard to escape the shithole that is Ohio, but you should spread your wings some.
LOL that's an old big band era ballroom. That old place kept Cedar Point open for business during the 1930's and hosted some big name preformers from the era.
@@maximaldinotrap The ground floor is an arcade. The ballroom upstairs is still completely intact. I believe you can rent it out for events and weddings now. I think that building used to be a beer garden early in it's history. That would be a really cool repurpose for that ballroom.

Went there I think around 2012ish. Maybe a little sooner. And seeing these new rides is incredible and brings back memories of the rides I once rode. Millennium is easily one of my favorites to this day
Freak wait what lmao I went there during halloweekends and I thought those were just part of the props lol. I haven’t been a serious coaster enthusiast in about 5 months now but I’m slowly easing back in so I could easily just be a gp 🤷♂️
The Blue Streak is my second-favorite coaster at Cedar Point. I haven't been back in many years but if the cars still have the simple, loose lap bar you would literally come up off of the seat! Amazing amount of thrill for such a simple ride and the "Stay Seated" sign on the first hill is hilarious! :D
I live in Australia and was coming to all the way to Ohio specifically to visit this park in May this year. COVID, of course ruined that. I am therefore very grateful for this. Thank you.
I’ve been to CP multiple times. I think it’s decently accurate, I’d change the gondola type on the chair lift, but I hope to see if he updates it for 2020.
Amazing recreation!!! Love cedar point and this was spot-on! Favorite coaster at Cedar point is Maverick and honestly I think you may have nailed that the best in the recreation!
Atomiic except in cases such as “the smiler” or “the Incredible Hulk coaster” but yes in cases such as raptor then yes you wouldn’t put the in-front of the name
I have been too Cedar Point many of times growing up . Some of my favorite memories growing up. A absolute masterpiece this guy pulled off . Looks just like the real thing .
Living in Australia I have never been but this is am amazing recreation. Mow, I know the in game rides can't match up to real POV's as you said "due to fricition" but while most coasters do a darn good job, I noticed the roll at the top on Gatekeeper goes in the opposite direction to the real thing. That is the only thing I had a problem with but amazing job to Pitzony.
I was just there last week… and I’ll tell ya what. This is almost exactly it. lol I live about 2:30 hours from Cedar Point. I’ve been there about 10 times. I’m 29 now. I’m floored. Wow. Makes me want to go back already!

And yes. Standing in the que for Top Thrill, Steel Vengeance and Millennium Force is quite intimidating. lol
I've been there and my top 5 is:
5. Raptor
4. Millenium Force
3. Top Thrill Dragster

14. Top Thrill Dragster
13. Cedar Creek Mine Ride
12. Iron Dragon
11. Blue Streak
10. Wicked Twister
9. Rougarou
8. Valraven
7. Gemini
6. Raptor

@Atomic Butters21 my top five in the park is pretty much the same but I have millennium force above top thrill dragster
I worked at Cedar Point in 2014 and this is almost perfect. If you ever make it to Ohio, you NEED to visit here. It's great.
I'm from Ohio and get a season pass every year and you freaking NAILED Cedar Point! The Millennium Force is the best ride hands down!
I have an emotional attachment to this park having operated Raptor in 2019 and this is awesome!
I never worked there, but had friend that had family who lived in Sandusky, and we had free tickets all the time. I heard back then, and even recently that the Raptor is one of the best coasters to work at. Is that true?
@@robertcherman It would be hard to say since it’s the only one I operated.
Lake erie is actually on the right. On the left is Sandusky bay
@@270crazyguy You're correct. I forgot which way Millenium's lift hill runs - was thinking of Magnum, where looking slightly left you can see Point Pelee, ON.
@@dwaynes8880 thats alright people make mistakes. Yeah my brother said that about seeing canada on a clear day. Never paid much attention
Whoever spent the time doing this, WOW! I worked at Cedar Point, and was on the Raptor crew 1999. The level of detail in the switchbacks for the que are pretty close.
damn. this is REALLY good. From being to Cedar Point multiple times. From the ticket booth to Steel Vengeance. I’m amazed.
Give the man who made it some credit. Those rides were so smooth I am thinking of getting this game some day
Top Thrill Dragster isn't accurate. It didn't roll back......
lol This park is amazing, this re-creation is just beautiful. Absolutely amazing job!
It’s a very confusing name but it’s actually pronounced “roog-a-roo”
13R^D yeah stands ups are never really that comfortable
13R^D also I know it’s pronounced like that but I just spelled it differently. Just to make it easier to pronounce
@13R^D Mantis was awesome! Those first couple seasons it ran wide open and your legs were like rubber when you got off the ride. The trick to not hurting your self was to bend your knees slightly so when the seat locked in and you stood up you had a few inches between the seat and your manly-ness.
ProjectSunset actually roog-a-poo
Mantis was a better original name. Should've kept it.
Cedar point is very close to me so naturally I've been there many times, I've been wanting to do this on planco for a long time but never got around to it. Hands down as accurate as you can get. A lot of nostalgia in this video personally. Hats off to the creator!
I love Cedar Point, and holy shit, this is amazing. Nice work!
Thanks! But many more thanks to allot of the steam community! For several contributions!
I live about 40min away from cedar point and this is a GREAT recreation of the park. When you go there channel5 gaming , you will see more water than what was shown including (maybe) a new water (river boat) ride.
Probably the best roller coaster park in the world.
*sees the shooting gallery in Planet Coaster*
Ah, the good old days when Theme Park Shooting Galleries had actual firearms (with blanks, of course). Now, it''s simulated firearms like Disneyland does at their Frontierland Shooting Gallery.
Edit: Also, the only thing the author got wrong with Gate Keeper is that the half-roll into the first drop was to the left, rather than to the right as it was irl.
@@bigdaddy793-1 Ah. I've not actually been to Cedar Point, so I have not known about this.
We used to call the Iron Dragon the Iron Bore as in boring. It is a large training coaster for tweeners.
Very cool. Got giddy when I saw that 🤘
I already love this park. I’ve been waiting for someone to recreate it!
Too bad you couldn’t ride Maverick or Millennium Force.
Cedar point is a huge park. Surprised he got it all in there
Steel curtain at Kennywood now has the record for the tallest inversion in the world at 197 feet
Phantom's Revenge is still better tho.
InvisibleTeeth he’s not saying that it’s better worse.
Just go the extra three feet how hard is it
Been visiting CP twice per year for a long time (I live in Toronto, about a 6-hour drive away). I'm very familiar with the park, and I'm impressed with the quality of this build. Well done to the creator!
AS a former Cedar Point employee its crazy how close to 100% accurate this is!!
The Gate keeper is amazing. Totally smooth, non-jarring. Scared to death waiting, but awesome once we got going.
The Blue Streak is an old favorite of mine. Lots of good air time!
I rode Millennium Force. We got to the top off that first hill. My boyfriend said, "Wow, I can see the whole park from here!" To which I said, "I can see my HOUSE from here!"
We first went to CP in 1980, when I was 10.
I went to Cedar Point in the summer of 2019 and here are my thrill levels for each coaster 1-5...
Raptor: 5
GateKeeper: 4
Wicked Twister: 5
Red Baron: N/A

I just bought Planet Coaster because of this park recreation. This park does not disappoint. Cedar Point is my home park and this recreation is the best I have ever seen. Planet Coaster is a great game. Thank you so much for posting this video.
Wow!! 100% amazing. I got to CP every year. My home park. I love it
Do you not visit any other parks? lol. So many other great parks. I know its hard to escape the shithole that is Ohio, but you should spread your wings some.

GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY.
Ha, what a great park. so real. never been. but wow I love this. Amazing work!!
18:00, imagine spending all the time to have gatekeeper twist the wrong way
i just notice that too bro WTF
@@-JORDXI- I imagine this was done intentionally to help everything fit within the size constraints
I am 2 years late to this, but holy crap. This is amazing.
Wow!!! It's so accurate, wonderful work!!
I had Platinum passes for Cedar Point 3 years in a row and have gone about 50 times and this is extremely accurate. Well done.
Played it yesterday. Great map
This is very very accurate to Cedar Points layout. Absolutely incredible.
"I'm assuming this is a big hotel"
Actually, that's an arcade
LOL that's an old big band era ballroom. That old place kept Cedar Point open for business during the 1930's and hosted some big name preformers from the era.
@@crotchwolf1929 It's an arcade now.
@@maximaldinotrap The ground floor is an arcade. The ballroom upstairs is still completely intact. I believe you can rent it out for events and weddings now. I think that building used to be a beer garden early in it's history. That would be a really cool repurpose for that ballroom.
@@crotchwolf1929 the building use to be berinstein bear country
@@anthonyharder1469 www.themeparkarchive.com/parks/cedar-point/ballroom. My first visit to cedar point was, I beleve 1999. I know Bearenstien Bear country was gone by then so I don't know exactly where that was.
Went there I think around 2012ish. Maybe a little sooner. And seeing these new rides is incredible and brings back memories of the rides I once rode. Millennium is easily one of my favorites to this day
This place is awesome, andJohnny be on the lookout for my new coaster Indiana Jones and the Temple of Lava. Coming in a few weeks :-)
looks just like wow great details even got the restaurants right
You forgot to put a whole bunch of huge spiderwebs everywhere
Freak wait what lmao I went there during halloweekends and I thought those were just part of the props lol. I haven’t been a serious coaster enthusiast in about 5 months now but I’m slowly easing back in so I could easily just be a gp 🤷♂️
I knew something was missing!
Thank you.
As a person who lives in ohio, its fun
@@train_go_boom2065 I'm so jealous of you! Cedar Park has more roller coasters than in my entire country.
I’ve been to cedar point a few times and the attention to detail is unreal. Even the lines are accurate!!
As someone from Ohio who would go to cedar point borderline weekly, this looks amazing I’m genuinely impressed
I've been going to Cedar Point for nearly 30 years. Pitzony did an amazing recreation... Spot on
I’ve been to CP multiple times. I think it’s decently accurate, I’d change the gondola type on the chair lift, but I hope to see if he updates it for 2020.
Planet coaster doesn't have the old school gondolas but the modern glass ones are a much closer match.
Amazing recreation!!! Love cedar point and this was spot-on! Favorite coaster at Cedar point is Maverick and honestly I think you may have nailed that the best in the recreation!
there’s not a computer out there that can run this park so i admire those guys dedication to sticking it out through those low frames
Don't put "the" before every coaster name. For example. Its just "Raptor" not "The Raptor"
Atomiic except in cases such as “the smiler” or “the Incredible Hulk coaster” but yes in cases such as raptor then yes you wouldn’t put the in-front of the name
It just sounds weird!
Shut up 🤐 y’all are so annoying it is not your channel
Horse_Bray_1234 223 I agree with you. The”the” makes the name look natural and not annoying lol
Absolutely triggering. Cringed every time.
I have been too Cedar Point many of times growing up . Some of my favorite memories growing up. A absolute masterpiece this guy pulled off . Looks just like the real thing .
It’s my dream to go to this park, at least I live close to sfmm
I’ve been there and have gotten on every ride in that park. This is amazing the detail that went into this. Great job.
Who else noticed that he said "the" before naming every coaster?
Living in Australia I have never been but this is am amazing recreation.
Mow, I know the in game rides can't match up to real POV's as you said "due to fricition" but while most coasters do a darn good job, I noticed the roll at the top on Gatekeeper goes in the opposite direction to the real thing. That is the only thing I had a problem with but amazing job to Pitzony.
One thing, power tower should have 4 legs not 3... Thats all I see that could change
I was just there last week… and I’ll tell ya what. This is almost exactly it. lol I live about 2:30 hours from Cedar Point. I’ve been there about 10 times. I’m 29 now. I’m floored. Wow. Makes me want to go back already!
"Why are all the employees depressed?"
Because we don't get paid enough lol
These are facts
$20/hr tho
it takes me about 2 hours to build, smooth and support a coaster, and this dude built whole CP in 8 months.... That's incredible!
“Cedar Points definitely on my to do list for 2020” Yea that’s not gonna happen it’s corona time!
You won't be disappointed when you can go.
I live in Ohio so I go to cedar point almost every single year, and watching this literally makes me feel like I’m actually at cedar point. I’m totally blown away at this recreation it looks just like the real park. You did a amazing job!!!!
