You can tell how some people are just so intimidated by the future by Hyundai and KIA design language. What do they expect cars to look like in 2024, almost 2025? Hyundai Motor group is always evolving in design and technology than its rivals, and it's really secretly pissing people off. Mainly the ones who still have the same old school perception about Hyundai and Kia cars being cheaply made and unreliable. Their minds just can't phathom how the Korean car brands are making bold statement in design. That is why they lurk on every RUclips channel on Korean car reviews just to troll. They are the bots before their was a bot!
My wife has a 2020 Palisade...first one sold in our city...ordered it before they even arrived on the lots. Also have a 2018 Elantra for my daughter. My other 3 daughters have Kia forte's so definitely not a Hyundai (or Korean) hater, but you have to admit that design evolution isn't always good just because it is new. This new Palisade definitely has some good things going for it on the outside and the inside looks like it is going to be very nice; but rarely do many manufacturers completely knock it out of the park. And Hyundai is no different. They fell flat on the front end of this thing. Those DRL's are atrocious; no sophistication what so ever for their flagship SUV. I don't mind the "pixel" direction, but they are about twice as big and bulky as they should be. The designers also dropped the ball on that D pillar trim. For one I think it is too massive, but these videos also seem to show that for production they stopped the silver at the rear quarter glass instead of continuing it above the other doors and around the top of the car. That is the way it was in the rendering by Hyundai and it looks so much more crisp and intentional. It is ok to call out the shortcomings on a new vehicle design; doesn't mean you are a bot or a hater. One final thought; bold doesn't always mean good. The Pontiac Aztek was certainly bold in it's day, but it was ugly as hell.
Thank you for the video! I’m happy that you’ve preordered one. I’m excited to see more of the Palisade! So far I think I’m going to get one when they come out in the U.S.
I have a Palisade 2023 Calligraphy, and it is the perfect car for my big family. It is luxury enough, spaciest, and powerful(3.8 awd). There is not actually much to improve. As for me, the only thing is fuel consumption for city use, each stop or speed under 30km/h on a short distance means you'll see 18-20 l/100km(13-11 mpg) easily and even more. This looks even more wild when you know that it consumes only 9-10 l/100km(26-23mpg) on the highway.
I love the look and I think that the new Santa Fe needs the front and back look of this new Palisade. I love the look all around of the new Palisade, especially the wedge shaped action look from the side. Handsome looking front and back. Good job Hyundai. Thank you for your work and this video!
The pricing for the new Palisade 2.5 Turbo Gasoline model starts at 43,830,000 KRW (approx. $32,795 USD) for the 9-seater Exclusive trim, going up to 55,860,000 KRW (approx. $41,790 USD) for the Calligraphy trim, while the 7-seater ranges from 45,160,000 KRW (approx. $33,796 USD) to 57,940,000 KRW (approx. $43,398 USD). The 2.5 Turbo Hybrid model starts at 49,820,000 KRW (approx. $37,258 USD) for the 9-seater Exclusive trim and goes up to 61,860,000 KRW (approx. $46,280 USD) for the Calligraphy trim, with the 7-seater priced from 51,460,000 KRW (approx. $38,465 USD) to 64,240,000 KRW (approx. $48,070 USD). Exchange Rate: 1,000 KRW ≈ 0.748 USD (based on current rates).
I don’t see any vortex generators at the mirrors or by the side trim pieces. One issue with the Palisade was wind noise due to big mirrors and no vortex generators. Kia solved the issue by putting vortex generators on the mirrors of Telluride.
Congratulations! You are making me jealous! We love that you battle low lighting conditions and freezing temperatures to keep us informed!! Best channel. DumA will slowly love this new car. 🤞🤞
Hopefully the new generation 2026 Hyundai Palisade will be widely sold in the European market (countries with large markets), because there is now a wide range of engines. 🤔
What I really want to see on new palisade is a hybrid paired to that 3.8 V6. It's already Atkinson cycle which is aimed for fuel efficiency other than performance, and makes it a good host for a hybrid. Thus, it would make great sense to add a hybrid system to it.

Great video, as always. I appreciate your tenacity and informative coverage. With that said, I'm not impressed with the design language of the new Palisade. The shape of the body is reminiscent of the 2022 Range Rover Sport, therefore, it is not original. The DRLs are hideous and gimmicky looking, and the grill is unimpressive. And I do not like the round door handles that reminds me of the Ionic models. They should have door handles and other details that are exclusive for the Palisade. I hope the ride, comfort and handling makes up for the unimaginative exterior design.
agree, let's be honest, i think the headlight housings look cheap and aftermarket. and the headlights were much better on the previous model than they are now, other than the side view, the new palisade is a real disappointment.
