@@RB26N no its never a good idea to trail throttle like that. But it can happen now and then, shows up in data immediately and engineer yells at you. The opposite is true too, drivers who don't realize their foot is on the brake while they are at full throttle down the straight
hi Bash, how would a driver get an advantage at the start since it looks like everyone applies full throttle? is it just a matter of reaction time then?

btw why throttle is slightly ON at braking is ?
Race cars have a minimum throttle at idle, like 8% i think, to keep them from switching off. Road cars have idlers

Reaction time but more so how you release the clutch. That's key.
