@@PeteBrandy Those are immortal coaches. I see B/Bee 20-41/48 less and less here, neither in Nové Zámky's weedery storage yard. In my opinion, are better, than "Honecker's revenge" (for others Bdtmee 22-44), sorted into REx trains in Bratislava's commuter areas (Nové Zámky - Kúty). It seems, if I want to see or travel onboard some commie reliquia, I have to go to Czech republic. There is not an intention to save some vehicles for museal purposes here, only railway enthusiast's groups do. I do not forgive not saving the class 560 them.
Ooh, instead of an all "Yes" list shown at the end of the clip, this one showed an all (almost) "No" list. Since it is a short distance, it won't be a problem while travelling but 13 plus Euro is on the higher side regarding value. Despite that, I'm impressed by the rail infrastructure that has been heavily invested, especially the escalators (near the beginning) which automatically switch on when a person wants to use them, as well the coach still good as new despite the age these coaches possess. But every 2 hours it is possible to take the EuroCity train with newer air-conditioned coaches .. but there you can't enjoy the possibility of opening windows :-) Greetings from Prague :-)

Great report, Pete! What is the significance of the S in a circle on the side of ČD wagons? I see it on most wagons of different types in your videos, but not all. For example, it was on all but the 4th wagon on your train. Thank you!
Thanks so much! The significance of the S in a circle on the side of Czech trains means Suburban (or S-Bahn). Trains operating as part of Prague's integrated transport (suburban, local and also some fast trains) in the vicinity of Prague and central Bohemia are designated as such.. Sometimes these logos are also visible on carriages in other regions and also on some international trains because they are originally Prague based carriages.
Wow - great train on a beautiful piece of railway . However it's strange to see a S-emblem on an international Rychlik(same stoping policy as the EC ...) named OS/RE . It would be a shame to "modernise" such a service with Desiro(ML/HC) rolling stock . May god bless those who pant for WiFi-access on such a journey ...
Jako na jednu stanu ano, ale zaś beru v potaz że je to sezónní vlak co nejezdí celoročně a navíc jen o víkendech, takže by ty vozy byly jinak nevyužité nebo naopak by se muselo sebrat vždy 5 vozů z jiných výkonů.. Navíc myslím že Děčín jiné vozy co splňují RIC nemá (to co jezdí na R Labe může jezdit jen vnitrostátně)..
Tak v Sasku ještě pár Bautzenů jezdí.. na trase Leipzig - Chemnitz jezdí u Mitteldeutsch Regiobahn souprava kde jsou řazeny Bautzeny na Regional Expressech.

Another good trip, couldn't get over the escalator that only appear to move when people are on them.
This is used to save energy and is actually very common. But many escalators continue to run very slowly and do not stop completely.

Ano, sice je to výletní vlak, ale ty standarty dnešní dopravy by ten vlak mít aspoň mohl, když to jezdí ze státu do státu :D

Ne, to jsou „Lange Halberstädter“. Tyto vozy byly vyrobeny v halberstadtské opravně.

I think these old coaches will remain for these seasonal weekend trains.
The German trains in the opposite direction (Dresden - Litoměřice, line RE20) run with a Desiro.
My nejenže tenhle starý šrot nejsme schopni dostat pryč z našich kolejí, ale ještě ho posíláme do Německa...
