    When I miss Japan, it is often a food memory that triggers the feeling. I love and miss Japanese cuisine. Sharing a meal makes people like each other or as the feel closer with strong bond. Eating the same food leads to trust and cooperation because they feel closer with the feeling of intimacy among those eating together, share the experience with eating and drinking.

    What I like is your honesty in talking about the food. I lived in Japan, teaching English for a couple of years. You bring back a lot of memories. Nice technical work on your video, audio and editing. Probably one of the best things about your videos is just your natural way of presenting information. You draw our attention to the foods, people and places rather than yourself. Good job.

    I'm confused 🤷‍♀️ Food and location are Japanese But Background music is Chinese 🤭

    • @Noname-iz9uo
      @Noname-iz9uo 5 лет назад +39

      It is likely a Japanese style Chinese music as you can hear the taiko in it which is absent in actual Chinese music. Some Japanese folk music also sounds like Chinese music.

    • @Noname-iz9uo
      @Noname-iz9uo 5 лет назад +14

      cylusss well the music is called Sushi Master, the author may have at least written with Japanese music in mind. To me it sounds like a mix between Japanese and Chinese music. The string at the start sounds more like yangqin.

    Greetings from New York!!
    It's early Sunday morning.... little after 6am! You were killing me with all those yummy food! I love Tempura & MENCHI KATSU! They call the onion & shrimp mixed one "EBI NO KAKISGE"! That's my favorite Tempura!(^^) The breaded fried Minced meat/onions is called "MENCHI KATSU" which was my favorite as a little girl!(^^) The sweet red beans dessert is ,"YOUKAN" which is perfect with teas! The white rice inside of the sweet seasoned beancurd pocket is "INARI" or "INARI ZUSHI" There are a lot more food but now I'm really hungry...but it's too early for the breakfast on weekend!(^^)
    What was your favorite food & why? What was your least favorite food & why? How long have you been living in Japan?
    I enjoy your video.... although it made me so hungry....(^^)(^^)(^^)

      You are very welcome, I love the respect you show for the food you try. I'm sure some of them must be not so good. But you remind me of Anthony Bourdain -the kitchen bad boy- who is amazingly respectful for the food and the people too. I work in high end catering and still feel guilty for all the food we throw away after the parties, when so many millions are starving. But I love my work, so... i'll have to carry my guilt in this iifetime. Be safe when you travel.

    Very well done, now I'm craving fried foods. Keep describing how the food taste, it adds to the visual being alot of people never tasted these foods before.

    Doe anyone know from US or Japan, what the white triangular shaped cake is at 8:29 on the left side, floats in the broth, practically melts in your mouth, I loved that when i was a preteen but have never seen it in the states. Also at 8:38 middle row on the right side, second bin from the left, what is that called? It was a “doughy type” was delicious too. Oden was one of my favorite foods back then early 1970’s, we went to a street shop just like this one but ours was in Yokohama. I can still picture the old gentlemen who was the shop keeper/chef please let me know!
