This octavia gives better mileage than my Slavia 1.5 DSG. Mine gives 7 8 in the city & max I have reached on highway is 16kmpl that too with the help of cylinder deactivation tech. I wish it changes a bit after my 1st service. 140 hp vs 400 hp, beast of a mileage!!!
On the highway, shift to manual shifting stick to highest gear and set the cruise control between 80-100,can easily give you 16+kmpl. I frequently do this with my octavia
Nice video! Being a vRS 230 owner myself I can safely say these engines extract the best fuel economy on open roads without bumper to bumper crawling.. cruise control though would have given you a higher economy I feel.
Bro , it is not 17kmpl. pune to mumbai is mostly downhill after lonavala. i get more than 25 on my gt tsi (where on a normal highway it gives 17-18 max). to get proper mileage you need to do a roundtrip on the same road to counter the slopes. it is not more than 12-13 which is good considering the car.
I have shared this video with my Stupid Friend's who keep telling me changing the stock into "Stage 1, 2 or" the car mileage will go for a toss. I knew this video was coming.. Highly appreciate for making this.. ✌️ Keep it up.. Support as always.. ☮️
Smaller displacement engines, usually when NA, will give you consistent fuel economy regardless of the situation. But since the displacement is smaller, they struggle to maintain speed on highways and need more effort for cruising. Gear ratios also play a critical factor in this and small city crossovers and hatches just won't give you big fuel economy on highways.
It's actually pretty simple any hp increase On a note so huge engine especially a turbo engine will improve the torque as well that increase torque will definitely help you to push the pedal as little as possible and when you push the accelerator minutely the car will obviously drink less. as I always believe it's not the horsepower game is the torque game.
@@approxibeatmusic2359 yeah but the car computer does the calculation based on the speed and throttle position. If you coast on without giving acceleration my Laura shows 85 kmpl 🙄 and then -- 🫣 so I am pretty sure it based on throttle position and speed
@@Iti755r-xz2dk i am not talking about the downhill or anything. I am just saying that it would have been more accurate if it had been a full tank to full tank method
Ha ha ha..... My 2016 Hyundai Grand i10 with wider 175/65r14 tyres and the new E10 petrol gave about a little more than 12kmpl on my last trip to Kolkata from Jamshedpur with mixed highway and city driving. Highway Speeds being 110-120kmph and city being 20-40 depending on the crazy traffic of that city.
Hi bro, I’m from karnal, haryana. My stage 1 i20 petrol is returning 7-8kmpl in city and 10-12on highway. It’s 110-115bhp and 180nm torque approx after stage 1
You know the cockpit shows exaggerated mileage figures right? It will always be 2 to 3 kms less than what is shown. So real way to calculate mileage is full tank method.
In the video, I didnt see much traffic. I mean 90% was open roads so the fuel economy came out well. Stop and Go mileage in the city is what i expected from the video. Other than that the pops and bangs were really good.
Well that's real world conditions for you right? One it can be open and free and the other day it can be horrid. Doesn't get much more realistic than that.
Guys please reply how do you take care of these gdi engines. Because I am very scared of carbon deposits that gonna happen in my newly bought skoda kushaq 1.0 tsi. Would be grateful if you could reply with a solution or if I am worrying way too much for nothing. Regards
I managed to take out 43km/kg out of my Celerio CNG. It was exactly filled with 7.45kgs of gas and I clicked 320kms on odo from zero. Now beat that. 🤣 P. S- I am kidding about beating that. 😂
@@slutmagnet Believe me bro, it was non AC in winters. Colder air delivers better engine performance. It was all on highway from Dehradun to Delhi without any traffic.
My 1.6 creta gives 9-11 lol, drops to 7-8 if I pull it sometimes. Went to a hill station recently, dropped to 4.5 cuz i had to pull it in 1st gear for around 10 mins straight.

To everyone who asks us does tuning reduce fuel economy, you have your answer right here, it in fact does the exact opposite!

17 kmpl is absolutely insane for a 400bhp car. VRS pops and bangs was cool.
it is 12-13 max.
Still good my honda city below 100 hp has only around 11-12

Makes sense to have the mileage king host the video 👑
To everyone asking about tank to tank consumption: if anyone is willing to sponsor 10k in XP100 fuel, we're game 😭🥲
Start a gofundme... I'll donate for sure in honor of the Laura series and the Brio video.
Rs245's have ECO drive mode with coasting when you lift. It's an easy 20kmpl on highways.
The outro is the real Tanay guys, don’t let his 9:30 mins of niceness fool ya.
Hey guys
I have just one confusion,
Isn't that RS instead of VRS as V is the logo design of the vrs!
You’re right,
Seeing a KL car is absolute happiness
5:35 no space for parking .
OMG.. This is insane :-O Nice Video... At the same tym, me with my 1.2 NA Altroz returning 12 kmpl in city :-(

i think you should have done this is a tank to tank method.. i don't believe this avg consumption shown is accurate for a tuned car
Exactly. The computer would show based on the speed we are going and nothing else.
