  • Could this be the ultimate budget SG?! Might be better than Epiphone! Enjoy... this is a Stagg G300 and it is a killer guitar.

I had a Stagg as my first guitar somewhere in the late '00s. It was part of a beginner's pack with an amp included and was basically a BC Rich copy. The thing sounded absolutely horrible, wouldn't stay in tune and played like absolute shit. It was impossible to try and set it up right and my guitar teacher called it an absolute monster but not in a good way. The day I brought my first 'real' guitar (a Fender Strat) to my guitar class, my teacher breathed an audible sigh of relief because we didn't have to deal with the Stagg anymore, lmao. I accidently knocked it over one day and cracked the headstock and really couldn't care less. In the end I gave it away to a friend to use it in an art project. To this day still the worst guitar I've ever seen and held in person and would never recomend one to anyone. Luckily we got so many good and affordable beginners guitars nowadays.

Ouch brutal! That doesn't sound great. This particular Stagg had been in the wars with its neck break. With Fleor pickups I put in it now and having fixed the break, it's actually a great player. I had to put in a bit of work... but yeah, worth it. I've got another Stagg coming. A PRS style which I plan to do a video of - we'll see what that's like! Please consider a sub if you like this kind of guitar stuff. I did a video of the Stagg with the Fleors here - you might be surprised: ruclips.net/video/Hcpis9va_D8/видео.htmlsi=0kWakhlRXNP-6-AY
      Keep rockin'! 🎸🤘

It does not have bad neck dive in my experience. It is very well balanced in fact. The guitar strap does make a difference. It's a great guitar. It's extremely comfortable for me. The only thing I changed are the pickups so it really is awesome now. It's one of my favourites and I play it a lot. Quite unexpected for a cheap guitar. I did a video of the new pickups in this guitar here: ruclips.net/video/Hcpis9va_D8/видео.htmlsi=x5aypfqQDkb5QR6D
